Divorce forces sale… I have up for auction my very nice Kitfox Model 3 plane with 77 hours ttaf. It had a 583 Rotax on it but I wanted more HP so I purchased a 912 which goes with it. This plane was built with 3 A&P mechanics overseeing my every move and it really turned out beautiful. Included are a newer set of Full Lotus Amphibious Floats painted with matching Aerothane paint and ready to bolt on. Also included is a new Ivo prop with spinner. Plane has 13 gal wing tank, Tundra tires, Breaks, radio with PTT on the stick, ELT, all engine and flight instruments. The new motor needs to be installed and so do the floats. I would estimate this will take about 100 hours to do. I am the builder and I do have the mechanics cert for the plane but I just don’t jave the time to finish the engine swap. My loss is your gain. This is a great plane, you will not be disappointed. I lived about 2 hours South of Oshkosh and with a deposit, I will hold the plane until the Air Venture show. I would like to answer some questions and add some detail to the description. N57CT took about 1440 hrs to complete, She weighs 544 lbs dry with the 583 Rotax. (I don't know how much weight the larger motor will add total). The 583 is sold and does not come with the plane. I will not ship the plane. She has a dual tail spring (so no dented rudder). It has a 8" pneumatic Maul tail wheel. The motor is a 912UL 80 hp. The motor number 4400056. The motor had 64 Hrs TT when I bought it. I sent it to a Rotax Mechanic out in Lyons Wi who checked it out and put in new rings seals etc. (cost 2500.00$, I should have just bought a new one). There is a fiberglass belly scoop for the radiator. There is a wing locker, under seat locker, full custom made seat covers, floor carpet and carped kick panels. The Motor mount and oil cooler and all other components are included. This plane flew hands free the first time out. The test pilot had flown over 25 Kitfoxes through the years and said that mine was just about the best he had flown. She is in near perfect condition, just needs the motor install.
