These don't come up often, so now's your chance to own one of 37 cars that Nissan commissioned to be restored in 1997. Most of these are winding up in collections and are not for sale or are sold without being advertised. These cars are rare.
This is the 16th car restored by Pierre Z of Hawthorne California. Recently won Best of Class at the West Coast Nationals. Runner up in Concours Class in 2007 Huntington Beach Concours. Originally sold through Courtesy Nissan in Texas. Second owner kept it stored in a museum in Arkansas. I'm the third owner. 2,657 miles since total restoration.
You can spend a lot more money restoring your own and never get to this quality or have a unique, extremely limited production car.
However, the Vintage Cars (VZ's) are not perfect. Everyone I've seen has some things wrong with them. This one has a few paint imperfections, a shimmy between 60 and 70 sometimes and the air pump bearings squeak. I've got NOS bearings (NLA) to replace these, but haven't gotten around to having them installed. I'm a car nut and want whoever buys this car to be happy, so you will get an honest appraisal of it and any answers to your questions. After warming up, it runs great, doesn't overheat. It doesn't have a radio in it (didn't come with one), but I'll include the one the first owner put in it. There is a fake radio metal plate that came with the car installed on it now. Heater works fine. A/C works but IMHO doesn't cool that great. Last time I used it here, it was over 100 degrees outside and the car had been in a show all day, so that may have influenced my thinking.
I've got another Z that I don't plan to part with that isn't half as nice as this one, but it has a place in my heart. I'm lusting for another car, so that's why I'm selling this one.
I can arrange for shipping in a two car enclosed trailer within the US, but shipping is not included. International buyers, I can arrange for delivery to a port, but I am not responsible for any payments or shipping document preparation. For simplicity, I prefer US buyer. Buyers are welcome to see the car and it is encouraged before you spend this kind of money.

Payment Information:
A deposit of 10% (non-refundable) must be paid within 24 hours of the close of the auction. Within 7 working days of bid closing, Buyer must send balance of funds by Bank to Bank wire transfer,
cash in hand, bank certified funds to Seller.
