Here we have a restored 1974 MGB-GT which was purchased in England that year, was brought to America on a QE 2 ship, and has been owned by one owner. It's a car that is in very good condition inside and out, and can be purchased for any customer wishing to drive it, or can be used for spare parts. The latter may come in handy for those of you who own MG's and need spare parts, since MG's are pretty hard to come by these days.
This vehicle has been restored in various ways. It's original color was citron, but was later changed to white (an official MG color). The front fenders have been replaced due to wear, and the original engine was replaced with a used 1980 MGB engine with 4,000 miles on it. Before that engine was purchased, the odometer read 68,524 miles. It now reads 85,397 miles. The owner has all the original paperwork, including what was spent on the paint and restoration.
The owner has the duel carborators, but they were not readded to the car when the engine was replaced due to the cost at Chabot Motors in Millibury, MA. Millibury, MA is also where the vehicle is currently stored.
The last time this vehicle was inspected was July 1998. It hasn't been started or driven since then, but it has been covered and stored away safely. The battery has also since been removed, but can be easily replaced.
Otherwise, the pictures you will see below should give you a general idea of what kind of car you're looking at. It's a great deal given how rare this car is. If you have any further questions, please either contact me via e-mail, or contact the original owner, Connie, on her cell phone at (508) 733-0802 or at home at (508) 432-6762.
Again, thanks for looking!
