Up for this auction is a nice 1997 geo metro 1.0 litre 3 cylinder 5 speed manuel trans. These cars have been advertised to get between 53-58mpg personally Ive seen lawn mowers with a bigger engine it takes $28 to fill it up at 3.56 a gallon. This car seems to run great with no aparent issues. The speedometer head was replaced at 100250 miles the one they put in had 44319 when installed it now has 49152 if the math is done that means there is 105083 miles. It has an aftermarket pioneer stero casset player with detachable faceplate. the interior is in real good condition with no tears or cracks. the exterior has a few spots of the clear coat has some wear on it, but not much. The bottom of the passenger door has a small amount of surface rust on it, but that is not very noticeable I mean at 65 miles per hr you wont even see it. The tires are about 40% tread left it does have chrome rims they will need cleaned, couple of hrs and a brillo pad they will be fine. The engine looks very dry with no leaks, and there is a new battery in it. I do want you to know iI will be installing a new Catylitic convertor on this car before it leaves my repair shop. For those people who want to save feul with the rising cost of gas this car would be perfect, and its not an eyesore----- just drive it to work, and put it in your desk drawer or locker. ha ha thanks, and good luck. any questions feel free to ask this car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time there is no warrenty with this car sorry, but you wont be disapointed. On May-06-08 at 16:53:10 PDT, seller added the following information:I just wanted everyone to know I did a carfax report on this car the only negative thing was the odometer which I did explain in the decription. Also there is two very very small cracks in the drivers seat backrest I didnt even notice them at first, but I want to be as honest as I can be about this car sorry if this caused any problems.
On May-07-08 at 05:22:58 PDT, seller added the following information:Some people have asked about the control arm mounting on the car as these cars have a problem in this area, but this car is fairly clean underneath with no problems with any of the mounting surfaces they are extremely clean this car is from southern ohio--------not all that much snow down there I guess thanks I hope this clears up any concerns.
