Real nice 1979 luv truck.It has a 468 bbc,afr 345 heads,12.5 to1 comp.,lunati roller,comp lifters,reher morrison cnc'ed victor r intake,ati damper,1050 dominator,2-stage speedtech nos plate (500 per stage)msd ign.ultra 40 wires,and the list goes on.Transmission is a powerglide 1.76 gear,trans brake,4800 10" stall,deep pan.Chassis is a stock front clip with coilovers on front,with a 4-link backhalf,9" ford braced internal and external,moser axles,spool,moser aluminum center section,4.86 gear.The truck has centerline warriors all around 15x4,and 15x14,with m/t front runners,and 33x10.5 rear slicks.The truck also has aerospace disc brakes on all 4 corners,magne fuel 500 pump,fuel log and 3 regulators.The truck is clean,drives real good,sixty foots well and weighs around 2900 with a 230lb driver.Theres more to list but it would take a while.Now for the bad,they maybe a problem with the engine.I did a cylinder pressure test,and all cylinders showed 190 to 195.I did a leakdown on number 6 cylinder shows 18%.I only checked number 1 and number 6,but number 1 showed 2 %.This short block only has 3 1/8 mile passes.These are the times in the order it came off the trailer.On motor it ran 6.50 @ 106 mph.Next pass was on the bottle 5.45 @ 130 with 1.25 sixty foot.Next pass was 5.40@129 with 1.21 sixty foot.The last pass had a couple off pops or misses(whatever you call it)on the other end.This is what led me to do leakdown check.I'm just being honest,if the truck sells i don't want any surprises.I'm not giving th truck away,it's no junk.I'm just frustrated and would like to do something else.You can hear the truck run the way it is and never no anything is wrong with it.Please ask for any details or pics it's not a problem.I must add this truck has been to pinks allout in gainesville fl.And it also has been as fast as 5.38 in the 1/8.The truck now has a 6" cowl hood,not the one in the pic.The truck is listed local so i reserve the right to end auction early.
