Okay, I said I'd never list it again, but I've moved it twice while remodeling my workshop and I'm getting tired of playing checkers with this car. And several others (which are going on ebay as well). I am finally accepting the fact that I'll not have time for vintage racing anytime in the near future...if ever. This car was built by Amos Johnson from a 1971 Gremlin he purchased from a North Carolina dealer. He did minimal prep work and drove it to Daytona and finished third in class...and drove it home. Before its career was over, the car had five Daytona wins and was the 1973 IMSA Class Champion. It was rebodied later in its career to make it more contemporary, but there is no doubt this is Amos' first Gremlin...confirmed by Amos himself. I have a complete owner history, Car sports a 258 ci inline 6, 11:1 engine. I, frankly, would go through the engine before racing this car...only because I don't have a complete history of the powerplant. That said, the car goes like stink, with a T-10 four-speed and tons of torque. Car was recently restored and raced very little after the restoration. Those with knowledge of vintage sports car racing - and an appreciation for this car's heritage - will be impressed by the opening bid price and will be even further amazed by my low reserve. Questions? - 614-975-4444. Car is presently located in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and I can arrange for inspection. I can't imagine anyone would be disappointed with this car.
