You are bidding on a 1969 Camaro X-11 car (SS???). The car has Z28 emblems but is NOT a Z28 car. The car features a new headliner, new seat covers, new Hurst competition shifter (correct to a 1969 Camaro), power steering, power front disc brakes, and 10 bolt rear with a 3.08 gear. The motor is a brand new 350 with a Eagle rotating assembly, Comp 274XE cam (very nice sound and runs strong too), rebuilt heads, and all ARP bolts through out. The motor is pump gas friendly running on 87 octane (motor has been built about a month). The transmission is a completely rebuilt M-21 Muncie 4-speed with everything in it new except the gears which looked like new anyway. The car shifts absolutely perfect with no problems whatsoever. It also has a brand new clutch, pressure plate, throw out and pilot bearing. The wheels are 15 inch Ralley Sport wheels. The car has a brand new 4 row 1969 radiator and fan shroud (car will not run hot). The car photographs really well and looks great at 5 feet away, but has it's imperfections. The paint has some blistering (shown in pictures below) behind both front tires at the very bottom (not too bad, but will need some attention at some point) (left side is worse than right) and also the car has two bubbled places near drivers door where the car was quartered at some point in its life and the spot weld seems to have bubbled the paint from the inside (also shown in the pictures). Also, the grill has a small cracked place on the right lower corner. It's not very noticeable, but I wanted to mention it. Don't let these places scare you off, I just want to be honest about the car. The car has a great shine to it and gets lots of attention. It is painted red with white stripes. The original color for this car is Garnet Red according to the cowl tag. The interior looks good but I don’t have a radio in the car at all. The interior lights and all gauges work correctly except the door buzzer (not sure what is wrong with it.) The arm rest on the drivers door is loose. I have not removed the door panel to tighten it. The car drives extremely straight with no darting or pulling whatsoever. The car has new air shocks on the rear and new shocks on the front. The car is not a show car at all and looks good and runs good. It is a good driver. I drive the car everyday when I get off work and some days to work. The car is road worthy with no problems at all mechanically. The 3.08 gear is a little high geared for it, but I have left it in the car because gas is high enough and it actually does do good on gas with that gear. Any bidder who wishes to view the car or test drive it is more than welcome to come see it before the auction ends (make an appointment with me first.) I have a clear title in hand for this car. The car also has a Brand new FlowMaster exhaust system from the headers back with stainless tips. I currently have the tailpipes off with turndowns on it. The stainless tips and tailpipes are included. My home number is 334-585-0017 and my cell number is 334-726-9559, just ask for Lee. If I don't answer due to being at work, please leave me your name and number and I will call you back just as soon as I can. It may be after 5:00 central time, but I will call. For any of you who saw this car listed a couple of weeks ago, I only had it on here one day, I decided not to sell it, but now I have decided to start a new project so it needs to go. I do not honestly know if this car is an SS or not (that is why I did not list it as an SS.) Some of you may know by reading the cowl tag below. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Below is how the cowl tag reads:
