Vehicle Description
UP FOR AUCTION......... Brand new Aprilia Mana 850. Aprilia's newest motorcycle. This one is an automatic motorcycle, thats right, AUTOMATIC! We currently have 2 of them in stock right now and we are offering this one up for auction. This bike is a revolutionary machine that lets you choose from a fully automatic Drive mode with 3 individual MAP settings/ power settings, or a regular variable 7 speed transmission! And you can switch between the different modes while riding. The shifting or gear changing is done either by the foot shift lever or a + or - button where your left thumb rests. It is a pleasure to ride and has PLENTY of power. I personally rode one a couple weeks ago for a few days and it was a pleasure to ride not to mention it is equipped with an Electronic Constant Variable Transmission ECVT. Which means when you drive is Auto mode, you are getting the best MPG possible saving you precious gasoline! Auction is going to be for your choice of a Red one or a Silver one. Florida residents will pay sales tax on top of the final price, and ALL bidders will pay an additional $170 for licensing fees at end of auction. With
its exclusive and unmistakably Italian design, the 850 Mana is unique
among motorcycles. Its revolutionary Sportgear transmission is
electronically controlled to deliver unrivalled riding pleasure. So
whatever your riding style, and whatever the road conditions, the 850
Mana is the bike you will want to be on.
The
850 Mana is the state of the art in motorcycle technology. Only
Aprilia, with its legendary technical skills, would have dared take on
a challenge of this entity. The Aprilia 850 Mana is so advanced and so
unique that it simply cannot be compared with any other motorcycle. The
Mana takes all the stress from motorcycling while injecting more
satisfaction and more fun into riding under all conditions, from
commuting to sports touring on the open road. All you need to do to
enter a whole new world is press the button on the handlebars.
The
transmission management system offers a choice of three "Autodrive"
mappings plus a manual, seven speed, sequential gearshift, so you can
be absolutely certain to find the perfect ratio for any traffic
condition and riding preference. Whether you are just nipping across
town or blowing away the cobwebs on a winding country road, the 850
Mana always delivers the ideal response and the same unique riding
satisfaction. Whatever the conditions, and whoever the rider (even the
most demanding), the Mana guarantees a perfect, peak-efficiency ride
that lets you discover hitherto unknown potential.
The
Mana’s compact, sporty, and ecological 90° V-twin engine is the perfect
partner for this type of transmission. Thanks to electronic fuel
injection and a catalytic exhaust the engine falls well within the
limits of the latest Euro three emission standards. Pace-setting power
and torque mean brilliant performance, especially in acceleration.
Virtually no other naked can keep up with a Mana as it pulls away from
the lights! Yet the Mana is so amazingly easy to ride that blistering
performance is well within the reach of any rider. The technology that
Aprilia has developed for the 850 Mana is truly "rider-friendly" and
amazingly easy to use. The clutch lever has gone, replaced by an
electronic control system that leaves you free to relax and enjoy the
ride. The sequential gearshift can even be operated by a simply
handlebar control as well as by the classic pedal.
As
with all Aprilias, accurate design of the chassis guarantees top level
handling. The 850 Mana’s tubular trellis frame gives the bike
impressive strength and torsional rigidity, and a single piece aluminum
swingarm and advanced suspension delivers road holding to satisfy even
the most demanding sports rider. Top quality brakes add to active
safety by ensuring impressively short stopping distances.

On Jul-28-08 at 17:33:10 PDT, seller added the following information:I wanted to remind all my bidders and potential bidders out there to be very careful of other dealers offering "Free shipping" on these brand new Aprilia Mana 850's.
There is a process that happens when we receive new "units" or motorcyles. And if they are offering "Free Shipping" on these units, they may be skipping a few steps in the process to offer that free shipping which you could end up with a motorcycle that has been shipped to you that has not been assembled that may also void your factory warranty from Aprilia.
Our motorcycles have already been processed, built, downloaded with the latest Service Bulletin updates, test ridden, and are ready for their new owners the way that Aprilia intended them to be.
Here is the process that we here at Florida Motorsports follow to PROPERLY receive in a new Mana 850 motorcycle. Which if other dealerships are offering "Free shipping", the steps may not be done properly and/or a couple steps may be skipped in order for them to offer you the "Free Shipping":
1. The motorcycle gets shipped to our dealership and offloaded into our facility
2. The motorcycle is then assigned to one of our factory trained Aprilia technicians for assembly.
3. The bike is assembled and checked, (what we call PDI'd) meaning Pre Delivery Inspection (if the bike is not PDI'd/assembled correctly it can void the manufacturers warranty).
4. The bike is assembled completely, all fluids added, & battery installed. Then we hook up a sophisticated computer that is used to download the latest Service bulletins and/or recalls to make sure the bike is current and there are no bugs or quirks to be worked out.
5. After these steps, there is a LONG checklist the technician goes through to check tire pressure, cable operation, clutch engagement, handlebar clearances, headlight beam alignment, gauge operation, and the list goes on..... These are all done to ensure your motorcycle is guaranteed to be problem free when you receive it.
6. After this is done the technician takes it on its first ride to make sure everything is working properly and there are no funny noises and/or problems.
7. You receive a bike that you know is trouble free and has a warranty that will be honored by Aprilia for the entire timeframe of the warranty.
Be aware that other dealerships offering "Free Shipping" or any other discounts on these brand new motorcycles may be cutting a few corners to give you that price, discount, and/or service. Sometimes making it not worth the money you saved if you encounter problems with your motorcycle in the future or even worse find out that your Aprilia warranty wont be honored when you have a problem because the dealer did not Prepare it properly!!!!!!!
