Up for auction is a very cool, very unique, very fun, 1940 Chevy coupe nostalgia drag race car.
The car will run high 10s low 11s all day long at sea level. It is dependable, tough, and consistant.
This family built fun car is built on an early Toyota 2 wheel drive truck chassis, so all parts are easily replaceable. The body is a clean, rust free, original with a 1 of a kind 1 peice fiberglass tilt front end. It has a 6 point roll bar, fiberglass racing seat, chopped top, lexan windows, auto meter guages, fuel cell, 9" ford rear end with spool and Moser axles.
The engine is an early 350 4 bolt with about 11 to 1 compression. It has iron double hump heads with 2.02 valves, solid cam, tunnel ram with Holley 750 carb, aluminum water pump, Mallory distributor, roller rockers, and custom fenderwell headers.
The trans is a custom 1.76 powerglide with a trans brake, trans sheild, deep pan, B&M cooler, and a 5000 stall 8 inch Continental converter.
The car has a very nice orange paint job, it is not a show car, but a very clean racecar.
This car is very safe, and it drives like a Cadillac. It could use some polished cool rims and a new set of slicks to bring it into the twenty first century, but other than that, just put some gas in it and peel out.
I am selling this car for a good friend. I can answer most questions, but if I need to, I can put buyers in contact with him. He has had many fun days racing this hot rod, but he just doesnt take it out much any more.
