It drives perfectly, and it is built on a 1969 4 cylinder air cooled VW bug chassis. It comes with the original owners manual/brochure, and will make you feel like you were on top on the world back in the roaring 1920s. It is a manual, and has just been tuned up and looked over oil changed, etc. with a new battery also purchased and place in. The interior is tan leather seats, and the exterior is cream colored with brown flare sides. It has been garage kept, and comes with the tan vinyl top, two doors and tonneau cover that are all new. I have just purchased a new cd player with ipod jack input for it, but have not installed it yet. I have had no problems with this car and have owned it for three year. I am moving to a larger city where I will not have room for the car, otherwise I would not be selling. It has a slight bit of rust on the luggage rack and spokes, but it is very minor. All of the gauges except the speedomoter and odometer are fully functionally, and it drives great. The front of the car is the carpet lined trunk underneath the leather strap belt that holds it down, and it has fabulous chrome throughout. This is truly a wonderful car, and also features a great classic (auuugah) horn. This car was professional built in 1982, which the title states it is a 1982 Mercedes Kit Car. I have also discovered a place where you can purchase a kit to transform this kit car into an electric kit car, which would be easy to do for around $3500.00.
