* What is Door-to-Door service?
Door-to-door service is a standard in the car shipping industry. Door-to-door involves a truck coming directly to your house (or somewhere close by), picking up your vehicle, and transporting the car to your new residence, where they'll drop the car off at your door. What's good about door-to-door car shipping is the fact that you get to see your car all the way until the truck leaves - from the inspection, to the loading, and to the securing, you can see your car the entire time. This is in opposition to terminal-to-terminal, where you drop your car off at a "terminal" - a fancy word for a junkyard - and leave it there until a truck can come pick it up. The problem with this is that it can take quite some time for a truck to pick up your vehicle, and as long as your vehicle is in the terminal, it isn't insured. Door-to-door is the only way to go.
