Engine and trans has 250 miles since total rebuild.

-Very strong runner. Starts 1st/2nd kick. Idles well.
-Head completely rebuilt by MAP Cycle. New head gasket.
-Original 389/689 pair of monoblocs resleeved by Lund. Choke slides & cables removed but available.
-Crank is standard on rod and bushing journals. New std rod bearings, new std timing side bushing.
-Sludge trap cleaned out.
-Cylinders are first overbore .020 or whatever the metric equivalent is. New pistons and rings of course.
-Cam, followers and pushrods were in very good shape - reused the originals.
-New powerside main roller bearing. $$$$$$!!
-Reused original primary drive chain and tensioner. They're in good shape.
-New clutch plates, reused good original steels.
-Combined parts from 2 transmissions to come up with very good gearset. Reversed the 2nd & 3rd gear sliders to present unworn surfaces for engagement. Original roller bearings in trans good. Shifts great up and down!
-Installed new style (1971) dual points assy with new points. Timed both cylinders slightly retared intentionally to preclude detonation.
-New drive chain. New rear rim, stainless spokes, drive gear and sealed hub bearings.
-New front fender and mufflers.
-New Dunlop tires front and rear.
-New brake shoes front and rear.

The bad:
-Numerous small dings on gas tank. I counted 9.
-Side stand and lug missing from frame.
-Front rim has some rust pitting on a small section.
-Three small cuts in seat. 1/4" or so.
-Rear fender shortened.
-Headlight rim has two dings.
-Aftermarket headlight.
-Front dampers ineffective due to worn internal tolerances.

Bike sold as is.
