This is a relisting for the bike. I had ended the previous auction early because I had a buyer from another source. Unfortunately he decided to play games with me and I refuse the sell. I apologize to all the previous bidders for ending the other auction early. This is a bike I used for commuting 120 mile round trip. . I am selling it because there is only one BMW service center in Northern Virginia (1 1/2 hrs from my house) and they have a wait period of several weeks for service. Since this is a commuting bike, I can not afford to have that kind of down time. I bought it used from a BMW bike dealer in the spring of 2006 when it had 5,000 miles. As you can see, I have put over 25,000 miles on the bike in about 18 months of riding. This bike is mechanically sound. The day I got it home in 2006 I dropped the bike in my driveway. This bike is not a show bike but can easily be brought into show bike condition with new paint and a few chrome pieces. It has scratches on the right saddle bag and front cowling, and some of the right hand side chrome. I did a quick paint job on everything but the fenders (which are original paint). The lock on the right saddle bag broke and in order to fix it I had to cut a small section of plastic on the inside (not seen from the outside) to get to the mechanism. There are also scratches on the windscreen. I just (June 2008) had the final drive replaced with a new drive and it has new Metzler tires. The bike has ABS brakes, heated seats, heated grips, AM/FM/CD radio, and cruise control. The bike is being sold as is with no warrenty given or implied. If you have any questions please ask.
