If you are looking for an Iconic car that captures the spirit of the seventies and eighties then this car surely is it. Manufactured by the French "Lotus" Alpine, this car has a racing and rallye pedegree second to none. This low production, hand built supercar was without rival in it's day, either on the track or as a long distance tourer.

Dieppe-based Alpine, once an independent company specialising in faster Renaults, later a Renault subsidiary, established a fine competition history with the Alpine A110 winning the 1973 Monte Carlo rally and world rally championship. The successor was the Alpine A310, initially powered by tuned 17TS/Gordini four-cylinder engine, still rear mounted. The maximum power reaching 127 PS DIN (93.5 kW/125 hp), thanks to the use of 2 twin barrel 45 DCOE Weber carburetors.

In 1976 the A310 was restyled by Robert Opron and fitted with the more powerful and newly-developed 90 degree 2700 cc V6 PRV engine. As used in up-range Renaults, Volvos and Peugeots this lifted the car into the lower echelons of the supercar league, where the Porsche was a dominant player. The basis of the A310 was a hefty tubular steel backbone chassis, clothed in a tough fiberglass shell. Like the ill-fated De Lorean DMC-12, which used the same PRV powertrain, the engine was mounted longitudinally in the rear, driving forward to the wheels through a manual 5 speed gearbox. With 149 bhp on tap, the A310 PRV V6 was Renault's performance flagship capable of 220 km/h (137 mph) and neck straining acceleration. Despite the tail-heavy weight distribution (like Porsche 911), handling was safe and rewarding.

This car is a very rare factory Fleischman tuned vehicle, not just  a body kit but  has full engine, gearbox and suspension and brake upgrades. The engine features twin coil ignition and has a lightweight plastic fuel tank, only the Porsche Carrera RS featured such a specialised item. Engine/gearbox run silky smoothly and with lots of power, very tracktable as only a top tuning firm can produce. This car is an absolute joy to drive, reliable and beautiful, there is nothing else quite like it on the road.

Vehicle is a very low mileage car and it shows, it is in excellent condition throughout, mechanically perfect, interior is full leather with nice patina, as new Wilton carpets, new headliner, all gauges work as they should, electric windows, 3 piece Gottis, and very rare 5 speed gearbox complete this magnificent package. Car come with all epa and dot paperwork and is ready to be enjoyed, and clear FL title. As with all fiberglass cars there will be some element of crazing in places and there is minor delamination of the passenger side headlight glass, neither detract from the rarety and beauty of this vehicle.
