Greetings to All!!! imotors is quite proud to offer this Beautiful 1996 Bentley Continental "R" Turbocharged Coupe for your motoring pleasures. As some of you know I am an avid car buff and Love to sell interesting automobiles on eBay. Rolls Royce's are one of my passions(addictions???) and I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm. This is the first Bentley Continental "R" that I have had the pleasure to own and enjoy. It is really an attention getter. This Gorgeous Continental R was hand assembled at Crewe in the same factory as the Rolls(I was there in 2001 and watched!!). It has some unique appointments, such as the beautiful veined grille, body coloured bumpers, Chromium alloy wheels, and distinctive badging. What is nice about the 1996 model is that it has all of the updates of the 50,000 series cars(1993 on), such as anti-lock brakes, an updated suspension system and the refined version of the famous Rolls Royce Two Level Air Conditioning System for maximum interior comfort. There are also updated power seat controls(Along with seat heaters!!) with 4 position memory and easy to use power mirror controls. Dual Airbags became standard in 1994, along with a 4 speed automatic transmission. In 1996 a new generation Bentley/Rolls Royce came along. It has a Beautifully re-designed Fasia, along with different rear view mirrors, and a beautiful centre console that houses the radio, ashtray, and of course the gear change lever. Progress is evident with the newly designed climate controls, switchbox, and more luxurious interior appointments. It also has an electric tilt steering wheel, ETAS Traction Control, and the Zytec Engine mangement system. Only 1290 of these Beauties were built between 1993 and 2002. They were fitted with the Garrett Air Research Turbo that puts out a whopping 385 horsepower!!!!.
This particular example is MY personal car that I purchased in January of 2006. It was previously enjoyed by 1 owner in South Florida. It has only traveled 58,000 miles since new, which is about 5,000 miles per year, extremely low mileage for any pre-owned automobile. It was probably only used on very special occaisions. Judging by the condition, and Dealer service history that we have, it must have been the original owner's baby(It certainly has been mine)!!! I have driven it about 6,000 miles in the short time that I have owned it, and it is literally Amazing!!! The powerful fuel injected turbocharged 6.75 litre V8 is smooth and powerful, and runs just beautifully. I think it could almost fly!! As with all of the late series Bentley motorcars it has power rack and pinion steering, self-leveling hydraulic independent suspension and Anti-lock brakes. Of course, It is sheer heaven to own and drive. I have taken it on several long trips, including to the RROC National Meet in Chicago, 2006, where it won an award in the touring/driven class. From the first moment that you open the door....and that smell consumes you.....To the excitement that rushes through your entire being as you turn the key, you will know....that every Bentley is quite special, with it's own personality, and built as if it were the only one ever to be made.

The exterior colour is Mason's Black, and is just lovely. The finish is rich and shiny, with only minor blemishes here and there, as one would expect on a 12 year old motorcar. There are no signs of previous accident damage, and the thick Rolls Royce paint is like no other. To be VERY picky, there is a small blemish on the top of rear bumper, and about a 1 inch crack in the paint on the drivers door edge. It has a look about it that cannot be duplicated. The brightwork is gorgeous as well. The special Chromium Alloy wheels give this motorcar that sporting image that sets it apart from the rest, although still quite proper. The famous Bentley veined grille is a sight to behold. There are about 40 photographs below, so you can take a tour of the entire car...from outside to inside, leather to wood, all of the instrumentation, and much more. Even the trunk and the engine compartments are shown....please take the time to let all of the photographs load, we're sure that you will be just delighted.
We have run a Carfax report on this Beautiful Bentley and it shows accident damage way back in January 1999, almost TEN years ago(I didn't care when I bought it, as the car is simply Gorgeous). There are no odometer discrepancies. It has a clean Pennsylvania Title. and it qualifies for the famous Carfax buy back guarantee.
The interior is filled with sumptuous Magnolia coloured hides piped Black, and rich hand polished veneers. The seating surfaces are quite comfortable and in wonderful condition. The smell is the most unforgettable smell in the automotive world. Nothing smells like the inside of a Rolls Royce....nothing. The Burr Walnut veneers on the facia and doors are quite lovely, and in just beautiful condition(a few very small chips from the seat belt buckle on the drivers door).There are detailed photos below. Hand fitted and polished, they are like none other. The Black coloured Wilton carpets are bound with the same hides as the seats and are also in very nice condition. They have probably been covered by the Bentley Mouton Overlays(I purchased new ones when I acquired the car), since new. The power assisted windows are whisper quiet and work quite well. as do the locks, and mirrors. The left heated seat does not operate, the Right one does. Even the four position memory system that controls both seats is in proper working order. The two level air conditioning blows ice cold and also functions correctly. The sound system is a fantastic Sony AM FM Stereo CD that sounds Amazing. There is also a CD changer located in the Trunk, along with a powerful amplifier, and 2 Subwoofers under the rear deck. This Wonderful Bentley will be a delight to all of your senses. Slide into the drivers seat and take a moment(maybe several are in order) to look around. Close the door, and just have a rest. I like to just sit in mine...in the garage, sometimes for a long while...it is one of my most favourite things to do!!!
I have owned this magnificent Bentley Continental R for over 2 years, and have driven is about 6,000 miles. It has lived in my garage at home ever since. The ONLY reason that I have decided to sell it is that I fell in love with a 1986 Corniche II. Just time for a change It has been ultra-dependable, and drives just beautifully. It is a wonderful motorcar to spend time in, especially on the open highway, where it gets almost 20 miles per gallon. Quite smooth and powerful, yet it is also very quiet. It has been fully detailed by the famous "Highline Detail" services for your pleasure. The four matching Goodyear's are about 70%. We have just changed the oil and filter(Castrol GTX 20/50W), and performed a safety inspection. We have replaced the batteries in both power seat ECU's, and the batteries in the Central Locking ECU. Also both compliant mounts have just been renewed. It has an "Optma" Deep Cycle Battery fitted. It is now ready for the next lucky owner to enjoy. All of the large and small tools are present. We have the drivers handbook, factory build sheets, and all of the service records from the servicing authorised Bentley dealer in Florida. This is truly a rare opportunity to own one of the most prestigious and desirable motorcars available in the world. It has been the choice of Royalty for many years. It is mechanically and cosmetically in wonderful condition and will give the lucky winning bidder many years of Pleasure. It is being sold without warranty.
