1981 Delorean purchased in Phoenix about a year ago and driven home to St. Louis.  The car was inspected and made road worthy by Lotus dealer in Scottsdale before driving home.  Since then the following have been replaced: water pump, belts, distributor/rotor/ignition coil/spark plugs & wires, both power window motor and regulators, relays, vacuum lines, door & hatch shocks, most of the weather stripping, fuel pump/filter/lines, injectors professionally cleaned, o2 sensor.  The car starts and drives well, shifts well.  There is an exhaust leak that needs to be taken care of. AC compressor is new from previous owner, but has a leak somewhere.

Leather seats in good condition.  Dash has cracks.  There are some missing interior plastic parts.  The carpet on passenger side behind the seat is worn from a water leak through bad weather stripping I believe.  Tires and brakes in pretty good condition.

This car has a rebuilt AZ title due to previous damage to some of the stainless steel panels and the reserve price reflects this (under $14k).  The panels were fixed/replaced but the passenger side still has some small dents and right rear bumper has a small tear (see pictures).  The frame is straight--no cracks, bends, or rust. 

To summarize, the car is in average/good condition with low miles.  Most of the mechanicals have been addressed except the exhaust leak & ac.  The car starts and drives well. This can be a comfortable everyday driver with the ac & exhaust leak fixed.  The car is easy to maintenance.  Engine parts are easy to find and easy to work on.  Certain body parts can be a little more difficult to find.
