Hello, there. Here we have a 1966 Scout 80 by International Harvester.
The vehicle is in a lot in Brooklyn, NY. It must be towed. It is for sale as it is, where it is. I am selling it for parts or to restore, however I have no keys, or title of any kind. If you want to drive it on the roads, you'll have to get a salvage title in your home state.
Engine: 4 cylinder slant-4 gasoline engine: 86 horsepower. Single barrel Holley carburator. As a matter of fact, the engine in this Scout is rebuilt with only 4 to 5 thousand miles on it, but it has not been turned over in 6 years. The engine does turn, and I believe it would come back to life and run well. The engine is perhaps the best thing about the vehicle. The transmission and transfer case were working fine when the vehicle was parked. It was used as a utility vehicle by a friend who had a towing company (hence the yellow light). The radiator is in good condition.
Body: This truck has a removable hard top and tailgate, a 3-lamp yellow revolving light on the roof, and a custom roof rack that is welded to the roof. It has gun racks on the insides of the rear windows. It has a beefy diamond plate rear bumper, a tubular front bumper with push pads, and a black and decker 12v winch on the front (no idea if it is working). There are panels of diamond plate welded underneath the chassis to protect the transfer case and bell housing from damage. The tires are not heavily cracked and all hold air. The truck rolls fine and the steering is functional. The doors close correctly, but the handles need some attention. Springs are in good shape.
It is missing: battery, gas tank, wiper motors, front bench seat, air cleaner, and has a broken wing window on the driver's side. The horn on the steering wheel is missing, and the speedo and most of the gauges are not functioning.
There is rust on the body panels and some on the frame, but it is not rotted out, and is not structurally compromised. I have shown the worst of it in the pictures.
Though this vehicle has been sitting in parking lots for years, there is no indication of animals having lived in it.
