1962 Mini Clubman with the rare factory sliding ragtop. Nice solid and straight project car. I purchased this years ago with good intentions to restore, But like most of us, have too many cars. I received the car not running and I have no mechanical history on the motor or transmission. motor turns free. Gearbox seems to shift fine. old canvas on ragtop has been discarded. Seems to have all the original bows and hardware. Bows slide in tracks with ease. Very miniscule rust. some on the floor pans, near the pedals and under seat area. See the photo's . Overall, floors are very solid and don't need to be replaced, just patched. finger sized small rust hole in spare tire well. One spot near gas neck and one in front wheel well on driver side. This doesn't have the typical British car rust normally found on this vintage. All the important areas are still very solid. fenderwells are really nice. Some of the undercoating flaked off to expose the original blue paint, also see photo's. When I received this the seats and bumpers were missing. Doors are straight, no rust underneath. Doors shut well and line up nice, including the rear. Has all it's glass. Windshield is decent for a driver. Car rolls free. Kumho 145r10 tires are absolutely brand new. Tires still have the paint on the tread. Stock widened wheels have pitting. All the motor and transmission is intact, nothing missing. Has dual SU's. Steering is all intact and works. Has a clear title. original was lost, so a duplicate has been applied for and waiting to receive. Should be a nice project with no surprises. I am driving to California on the 29th of July to pick up a car. Should arrive the first couple of days of August. I can deliver for a real reasonable fee anywhere along interstate 10 to lower Cal. or up I-5 to San Fransisco. If you are interested in this please call ahead of time to tentatively set something up...it won't obligate you unless you are the high bidder. I have transported vintage cars cross country personally and for other people dozens of times. My name is Richard Brown, (985) 788-5126. I also have a 74' Jensen Interceptor with the 440, and a 76' TR6 that I probably will sell also.
