You are bidding on an 86 951 project car. This car has a straight body and good motor compression #s are 150 145 155 150 and has trans cooler on it also, its a worth while restoration project.I bought this car not running and it was on the back burner for a while I have other 951s that needed my time and money first now there is no room for this one or I would keep it for spares if nothing else. The car was not crashed, besides a few minor dents and some terrible looking paint it is very straight the paint in the doorjambs and eng compartment is nice so when you repaint it you can tape those areas off if you want but the rest needs to be stripped and painted. The pic with the nose and fender is what the car looked like before I sold some of the parts off of it. I will try my best to list everything that is gone.I sold the front bumper, calipers, door handles(they were script),pass fender and pass headlight bucket also rear defuser and washer bottle.Interior wise I sold the armrest and front seats its missing the black plastic cover for the climate control head and the clock is removed. The engine turns over but will not start,it is getting spark and fuel to the rail but no injector pulse my mech said it is most likely the refrence sensors but I am not 100%sure.He tried new ecus and dme relay so those are ok.The timing belt is intact but very poor shape it will need one right away also some vaccum lines and it looks like a couple of wires were spliced and repaired poorly so I would go over those as well it is 22 years old and may need some tlc.Wheels are original and in good shape and tires hold air but are getting dryrotted. The interior looks average a few small dash cracks and stains but nothing major I think it would clean up ok.The hood is red because the previous owner tried to pry it open one time when the latch stuck(it works now) he dented the drivers fender as seen in photo and header panel has some small repairable dings but the hood was dented bad so I put the perfect red one on.The odo reads about 95k but I am not sure if it is broken or not the title from 2 years ago has less miles so if it is broken it should not be too many more than it reads it has been sitting about 8 months.I have the clean and clear sc title and it is still open and signed off from previous owner I never signed or titled it myself .Also I sold the konis off of the rear but will include some rear kybs to the buyer as well as the timing cover airbox and headlight motor. The original color is a light silver blue metallic. The power windows work but sunroof does not, climate control head also works but has a broken plastic heater rod clip.It does not have any major oil leaks its pretty dry for what it is.Still has all of the side skirts on it but no batwing.I do not know how the trans feels because I have never driven it but it feels tight and goes into all gears fine while sitting, this is a low mileage trans with cooler so it should be ok also the previous owner told me the clutch had only about 5k mi on it but I can not confirm it.Car is stock except I believe the ecus are chipped. It has the stock cat(cat alone is worth a couple hundred) but the rest of the exhaust is not original(I also sold some of the exhaust hangers but system still in place).Rear hatch needs a linkage or something only opens fron the inside but the key turns. No spare tire but jack and tie down will be included.Has some small spots of light surface rust but nothing that will not sand right off when stripping the paint.I do not see any bondo or filler on the car.
I am an honost ebayer and a 951 nut so please ask questions if not sure about something.I will be happy to anwser any reasonable questions please carefully read description before asking. Please do not ask me what I want for it please just bid if you are interested. My reserve is about what the motor alone is worth so there should be no complaints. If you do not know these cars or what you are getting into do not bid on it.Right now on ebay there is almost everything you need to complete this car. This would be ideal for someone with a crashed or one with a bad motor also you could use fiberglass fenders and bumpercover and turn it into a track car.Bidders are welcome and encouraged to come and check it out durring the auction. It is located in north charleston sc.
