PERFECT RACE CAR CANDIDATE!!!!........1974 PORSCHE 911 NON-SUNROOF rolling chassis.......perfect candidate for the start of a race car project. First, the disclaimer.....this vehicle has no motor or trans so obviously cannot be driven and should be considered a project car. I am sick of paying storage on my race car project that I have no time to finish right now. Exterior of car appears rust free. There are a few small areas of rust which I am clearly showing in the photos below and I can say that anyone with a small mig welder and a little sheetmetal could EASILY handle patching this thing up in an afternoon!................. There are some dents and dings here and there. Right front fender appears new. Fiberglass rear engine lid is very lightweight, but is also fragile. There are a couple of small holes in it that need to be filled. Windshield and gasket is just sitting in the opening. There is some body filler in the roof, however there is no headliner so the dents could be popped out and the filler removed. No title. Great candidate for a racecar project. My intentions were to have the chassis dipped to removed everything that isn't steel. Car is sitting on (4) cookie-cutter wheels with tires good enough to roll around on....................................LIST OF PARTS INCLUDED............................ On Jun-17-08 at 23:38:29 PDT, seller added the following information:In response to some of the questions I have received about the car, unlike many sellers I have come across on Ebay, I tried to HONESTLY represent the car by showing the worst of it. Where many sellers I have unfortunately dealt with on Ebay would have probably put some armor-all on the tires and repainted the hood and doors black with a spray can to make it all one color, I wanted to show the car as it is. YES, the previous owner of the car was a painter and used the hood as a test panel for a couple colors he was spraying on some other vehicle......nothing a sander or a little aircraft stripper won't easily remove, no big deal. The doors appear to have been stripped and some kind of thin coat of wash prime or vari-prime product was applied to prevent them from rusting after being stripped to bare metal. Aside from some dings and dents, the exterior body panels, hood, fenders quarters, doors and roof are rust free and in VERY NICE CONDITION.....which is why I bought the car. The only other rust that I am aware of on the car is the rear fender joining panels that are spot welded to the shell of the car in front of the doors that are used to secure the rear of the front fenders to the car........BRAND NEW fender joining panels were purchased from Pelican and are supplied..........Feel free to e-mail me with anymore of your questions. There are tons of watchers on this item and I encourage you to step up and bid as it is for sale locally and if the right cash offer comes along, I will sell it and end the auction. I am asking $2200 OBO locally but I will sell this vehicle to the highest bidder....not pull the auction at the last minute if the bidding does not get high enough as I have seen here so many times before!!......BID EARLY AND OFTEN!!....thanks for looking, keep the questions coming as I am happy to answer them, don't be shy.....thanks!!!......-Lee On Jun-17-08 at 23:45:12 PDT, seller added the following information:DO NOT USE THE PHONE NUMBER OR E-MAIL ADDRESS SHOWN ON THE LINK!!.....
