It's Condition..........The engine runs smoothly with no skips, noises, or vibrations. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears, and all other mechanical systems seem to function properly. Recent maintenance (within 700 miles) includes new front wheel bearings and brakes, a full safety check, and an oil change and prep for delivery. The interior is beautiful. There are no worn, torn, or stained areas on the seats, carpets, or headliner. The cloth seats are soft and unblemished. There is one vinyl panel on the drivers seat that is cracked. It shows in the photos and can easily be fixed by a vinyl repair service. All other interior panels look just about new. The paint and body are excellent. There are no dents, rusted areas, or serious scratches anywhere on the body. The paint appears all original, and has an outstanding shine. This is a great looking and great running vehicle that will serve it's new owner very well.

Driving the vehicle..........Driving this Explorer is a smooth and pleasant experience with a fuel effecient engine, comfortable interior and great stereo. There are no shakes, rattles, or vibrations, and the ride is just as smooth and comfortable as you would expect. The EPA fuel economy estimate for this truck is 17 city and 21 highway. I drove this truck from Boston to Watertown, NY and back last week. It was a 700 mile trip which was about 80% highway. I got 21.5 mpg over the whole trip. Not bad for a big, safe, 4X4, SUV.

What is it Worth..........Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com) lists the retail value of this car with these miles and options as $10010. The Private Party value of this car in good (not excellent) condition is $6415. NADA and Edmunds list similar values. But the only value that really matters is what you are willing to pay. So what do you think.......is $5500 an EXCELLENT price for this SUV? I think so too. You can buy it for much less than that!
