1989 Toyota Pickup
4WD, 22R engine, 5-speed
137,000 Miles
The Bad:
-
STUPID RUST!! This truck has quite a bit of rust
underneath and around. Look at the pictures, there is rust at the
bottom of the doors and over the rear wheels.
-
It won't pass full Maine inspection as is without some frame
welding.
-
see picture dented rear cab where I whacked it putting in a
4 wheeler.
-
headliner is torn and partly missing
The Good:
-
The tires BF Goodrich Commercial T/A are 90,000 mile rated
with about 10,000 miles on them, look mint.
-
The front fenders were replaced 3 years ago
-
This thing starts and runs EVERY SINGLE TIME-- 100 F above
or -25 F below zero, it has NEVER failed me
-
4WD operates flawlessly
-
New cat back exhaust last year (what a waste...)
-
25 - 27 MPG on highway, 20 around town
-
I would not hesitate to drive this straight to California
from Maine-- extremely reliable.
-
oil changed religiously
-
new brakes
-
new radiator
-
New gas tank and sending unit last year
-
Clutch is in great condition
-
sunroof (leaks a little bit, but only when it rains)
-
no leaks
-
Awesome custom sticker on bed!!
It really stinks, I was going to run this for another 300K
miles, but the rust got me.
Bottom line, the drive train is bulletproof, notice VIN, this is
the Japanese model, the 22R is one of the most reliable engines in automotive
history. This would be great for a hunting truck (except for the yellow--
it might scare the deer) or parts. Ask any questions, nothing to hide
here, it is a great running truck that Big Government thinks I shouldn't drive
on the road. This is for sale locally, may be pulled at any time.

Lots of Tread left, basically like new, tires are worth the reserve
alone. Just too much hassle to switch out with old ones.
Har
Sunroof really doesn't leak much, seat is dry and it rained hard last night

No big old rips or tears, good condition for year. NOTE: the radio is
not in the auction, its an Insignia am/fm/CD/MP3 with USB port for a thumb drive
with music on it, I'll leave it in the truck for another $95

Other door is similar
