ONE OF A KIND TRUCK 20mpg!!!
1968 Military 5/4 Ton Inter cooled Turbo Diesel Powered M715 Kaiser Kaiser Jeep Pickup
THIS TRUCK HAS 28,000 DOCUMENTED MILES.
THE ENGINE HAS 8,000 MILES ON IT, SO IT IS JUST BREAKING IN!!
1968 M715, now known as HERC. Here is the some history on the truck.
The previous owner purchased this truck from a a rural Kentucky Fire Department. Approximately eight years ago he had a complete professional re-power done to the truck at 20,000 miles.
This re-power included the installation of a brand new Hercules 4 cylinder inter-cooled turbo diesel engine (Model 3.7DTA) at a cost of $13k, (Engine, Components and Adapter Kit). The Jeep was re-geared from 587 to 456 gears, (cruises at highway speeds), new bearings, new brakes all around, new lock-out hubs, new radiator, new batteries, new electric wipers, cold weather either start, engine core plug-in heater and new exhaust. His expenses on this truck approached $25k.
When I purchased the Jeep, I installed a comfortable set of Cherokee High-Back Bucket Seats with new Lap Belts, heavy-duty Braden Winch and Bumper, new Front Directional Lights, new Rear LED Brake/Directional Lights, new Canvas Top and Winch Cover, New Heavy-Duty Clutch, New U-Joints, Seals and Gaskets, (no leaks or weeps), New Line-X Spay-On Bedliner, New Steering Stabilizers, new Interior Light Switch, New Starter Switch, New Side-View and Rear-View Mirrors, a Custom Power Steering Set-up, New Red Enamel Paint Job and Black Rustoleum Frame Enamel.
This awesome Jeep also comes with a Hercules Engine Manual (paper) and a complete set of Military M715 Jeep Operational/Maintenance Manuals on CD.
I also have a nice Fiberglass Hardtop for the Jeep and this is available for sale to the winning bidder.
Parts for this truck are readily available through Military Parts Supply companies or local truck salvage yards as this truck is very similar to the 70’s J30 and Gladiator Jeep Pickups.
This truck is sold as, is as shown, and is sold with no guarantees or warranties.
This truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction early if a Buyer comes to the table with CASH.
New Hampshire is a non-title state for a truck this old, but I can provide a New Hampshire MV Title upon request at no charge. Two weeks will be required for processing.
