The Greater Lafayette Public Transportation Corporation located in Lafayette Indiana is pleased to offer for auction with NO reserve a 1986 thirty-five foot bus. The manufacture of this bus is from the Flxible Corporation and is constructed primarily af heavy gauge steel with an aluminum exterior including the sides and roof skins. The interior has a fair amount of stainless steel, mild steel and aluminum as well. Please note the wheels are aluminum and will only have single tires mounted for the rear instead of the duals in the picture.The bus is equipped with a 6V71 series Detroit diesel engine as well as an Allison V-731 automatic transmission that is basicly complete, but currently not running due to a possible cracked engine block. The interior and Thermo-King air conditioning system is primarily complete as well. This retired bus from our fleet is obviously a salvage vehicle and although a title will be issued upon receipt of payment, there should be no expectations from the buyer to drive this bus away from our lot. The bus is being auctioned as is-where is and the buyer will be responsible for full payment and removal from our lot located at 1250 Canal Road, Lafayette Indiana, 47904 within ten day of the close of the auction.
