The Greater Lafayette Public Transportation Corporation located in Lafayette Indiana is pleased to offer for auction with NO reserve a 1990 Sixty (60) foot articulated bus shell. The bus is basicly two 30 foot coaches joined by an articulating joint and had the power plant in the rear to make it a "pusher" design.The manufacture of this bus is from the New Flyer Corporation and is constructed primarily af heavy gauge steel with an aluminum exterior including the sides and roof skins. The interior has a fair amount of stainless steel, mild steel and aluminum as well. Please note the wheels are aluminum and will only have single tires mounted on the rears. Although the axles and suspension are in place, the bus is nothing more than a shell as stated and has all of the drive train components removed as well as some of the air conditioning package unit. This retired bus from our fleet is obviously a salvage vehicle and a title will be issued upon receipt of payment. The bus is being auctioned as is-where is and the buyer will be responsible for full payment and removal from our lot located at 1250 Canal Road, Lafayette Indiana, 47904 within ten day of the close of the auction.
