This is a 2003 950cc Tomcar built in Tel Aviv as the original police prototype for Costa Rica. I don't know the full story on how it ended up in Colorado, but it only has 25 hours on it due to Costa Rica police not buying it. It is fully equipped with lights & siren.
It is the only Tomcar I have ever seen with hard doors (not shown) & it's a blast to drive. These pics were taken at Moab last year.
If you own a Jeep Rubicon, you will sell it shortly after driving this vehicle as it will make your jeep look foolish. This vehicle will out-climb, out-manuever, & out-run anything on the trail, & use far less fuel doing so. We drove it for 3 days all over Moab, & put 4 gallons of regular unleaded in it at the end of our trip. Try that with anything other than a Tomcar!!!
I won't discuss my reserve price, so please don't ask. Just know it's not out of line with a new similiar equipped Tomcar.
It has had a recent tuneup, new belts, fluids, filters, etc. It's in wonderful mechanical & cosmetic condition & runs like a swiss watch.
I bought one after seeing them in Iraq & talking to the folks that drove them for their intended purpose, patrolling. I have also seen them at the Nevada Test Site in Mercury, Nv, used as observation platforms. If it's good enough to guard Area 51, that ought to say something about their ability.
For more information, go to Tomcar.com & view the videos. The company motto is "Anywhere and Back", & they mean it.
