Up for auction is my son's jr dragster. This is a great beginner car. It's fun, reliable and doesn't run too fast for the beginner or intermediate jr dragster driver.
We purchased this car used from Fred Craw about 3 years ago as a turn key package for a beginner driver and beginner crew chief (that's me). We have enjoyed 3 trouble free years with this car learning the sport and (most importantly) having fun.
The car is a Half Scale, mild steel car that will accomodate a small to medium size child. (I don't know the exact year the car was built)
It has a custom paint job with some removable decals and numbers.
The engine is a aluminum Raptor 3 motor built by JR RACE ENGINES. It will run the 1/8th mile in 10.7 (+/-) @ 58 mph. Salisbury clutch.
There are many new parts and some accessories included in the sale of the car.
Parts: New 28mm alcohol Mikiuni carb, New coated Hooker header, New billet aluminum Aeromotive fuel pump, New (last season) Mickey Thompson ET slicks, New brake rotor, New clutch belt w/ spares
Accessories: Tow Dolly, Engine Starter, Extra Windshield, Rear Wing (top fuel style), parachute, non functional air scoop (The wing, chute and scoop are for show purposes only and shouldn't be used during competition. We have never used them due to the fact that we don't enter car shows.)
Updated per NHRA rule revisions with functional light on rear of vehicle, mechanical engine safety shut-off switch and leg restraint net.
This car has been well cared for with oil changes before every race using synthetic oil, complete flush of the fuel system with gasoline to remove any alcohol to eliminate the possibility of water contamination after every race. It keeps the equipment SAFE and reliable.
My son has outgrown the car (5'4" 115 pounds) and would like to move up into the faster class. We are selling to provide funds for this move.
The car may be seen anytime by appointment or some Saturdays at Maple Grove Raceway.
I have the car listed on other sites and locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
Thanks for looking!
