The car has classic insurance, and was appraised recently so I will quote from the appraisal. " Body panels and paint are in good condition, and the fit of the panels is excellent with no alignment issues. The vehicle has been repainted in the original white color in a superior manner. The glass is all original with each piece having the Alfa logo , the vehicle is fitted with power windows , and a power drivers side mirror that function as they should . There is a small separation of layering on the passengers side of the windshield this does not effect safety or vision , and would only be noticed if pointed out .The interior of the vehicle has recently been reupholstered including carpets , floor mats , and seats with equal or superior quality to original specifications.The dash has no cracks and is complete with fully operating gauges. The car is fitted with an Alpine Cd Radio model 7859 audio system rated at 180 watts 4 Boston Acoustics speakers, and a base amplifier.The system has excellent sound quality and was installed in a superior manner.The convertible top has been recently replaced , it opens and closes as it should, and has no damage .The car is fitted with factory alloy wheels and are in a condition that reflects the age and mileage of the vehicle . The 4 tires are Metric Tourismo brand and are 185/70x 14 inch in size with 90% of tread left .The underside of the vehicle show no signs of fluid leaks, and it appears that a new exhaust , 4 shocks, coil springs and fuel pump have been recently installed.There are minor signs of corrosion , but the structure of the chassis is in good condition.During a 20 mile road test the vehicle showed 65 psi engine oil pressure ,12.8 volts in the charging system , and the coolant temperature did not exceed 175 F. The Engine , clutch, gearbox, and brakes performed as they should.This vehicle is a good example of a superior road car, and shows signs of care full maintenance. Market values for a car in this condition range between 8500 to $11,500 CAD My valuation of this vehicle would be $9900".
My friend has set the reserve at thousands less,as he is retiring in England , and wants to sell off all his assets.The car comes with a factory workshop manual, an Ontario Safety Certificate,and Carfax and Auto check reports from May 2008 stating that there are no issues with the car.
