Okay folks, if you have been looking for a Spider as close to perfect as possible, this is it. The car has been restored from top to bottom. New interior including new foam. Soft tan leather. New carpet with color matching inserts on doors. New seat belts, new console, new dash. Instruments were in great shape so they were not replaced. New clock that works. New sun visors, new heater controls and rubber handles,new shifter boot,new convertible top and color matching boot. Not the cheap top but the expensive canvas top, New carpet color matched floor mats with fiat logo. If i missed anything on the interior I will add later.
Exterior: New Paint, one month old. Painted by professional. Used Viper red paint ($626.00) gallon. The paint job is beutiful. Body was taken down to metal. Any bad spots were not just puddied in but cut out and replaced with sheet metal. Driver door was reworked to close perfectly with no rubbing as Spiders are famous for. New side mirror. NEW RUBBER ALL THE WAY AROUND THE CAR. Whether it needed it or not all water proofing rubber and gaskets were replaced. All chrome was cleaned and reconditioned. The only thing I didn't touch were the front and rear bumpers. The rubber reconditioned very well. There is a little bubbling or pitting on bumpers but not very noticable. For a perfect car this could be replaced.
Brand new 14" pannasport wheels and yokahama tires. Original wheels available with purchase. Original steering wheel available also.
Mechanical: I have had the car for 2 years. When i got it it ran great. I have used Orion Auto in Houston for all mechanical work. What I can tell you is the car has gone through a very extensive evaluation. There is a long list of part replacements and upgrades. I would like to provide that list at your request instead of listing it here. You are also welcome to contact Orion to discuss the car. I can tell you this, The engine runs as smooth as day one out of the factory. The transmission has been opened up and any worn parts replaced . The trnsmission shifts smoothly with no problems.
