This is a square body 1968 MK 4 Sprite with a fiberglass Bugeye bonnet. It is very fast, handles very well, and is very safe. It has been in only 13 vintage races in the Midwest since it was built from the ground up in 2002, per its log book (included). It was last raced in two 2005 VSCDA events by me. It has a very robust roll cage with very good side protection and front and rear cockpit reinforcement. It has a Fuel Safe fuel cell under a fiberglass trunk door. It sits on 5” X 13” Minators with Comp T/A 18560XR13 tires. The suspension includes a front 7/8” MiniMania anti-sway bar, a rear Panhard arm and front and rear tube shock absorbers. The engine is a 1275 bored 0.040” over with Cosworth pistons, standard rods magnafluxed, lightened, and shot-peened, and an APT scatter pattern cam. The crankshaft was polished and nitrided after magnafluxing. The flywheel is lightweight billet steel. It has a ported APT head with large APT valves and 1.5 hi-lift rockers. It has a CR of approximately 13 to 1. The carburetor is a Weber 45DCOE, and the radiator is a Colby Speedwell. The transmission is a standard ribcase, and the diff is a 4.55 ratio locked. It has front disc brakes, all new rear drum brakes, Tilton pedals and master cylinders, and two Wilwood front/rear brake hydraulic pressure adjusters. The ignition includes an MSD-6AL with rev limiter, and a Pertronix/Albion distributor. The tach is a new 3 ¾” Auto Sort Comp triggered off the MSD-6AL. It is fitted with an alternator, and uses a Facet fuel pump with a regulator. The seat is Kirkey, the harness Crow Enterprises. The car comes with an indoor cover. Included are restorable square body front clip parts. If you want the car without the Bugeye bonnet deduct $500.00 from the final price. A racing suit and helmet is available at extra cost (inquire). More pictures can be seen at www.excel.net~bpazur. The car is ½ hour from Road America, Wisconsin. It does not have a title. Obviously, there are no warranties expressed or implied.
