Vehicle Description
|
|
This RV has a 460 Ford V8 with a 3 speed automatic transmission that runs on GASOLINE and/or PROPANE. Has 17 & 22 Gallon gas tanks and a 50 Gallon propane tank. Pulling a toad @ 65 MPH I get 7.5 MPG on gas and 7 MPG on propane, and I have a heavy foot. If you are looking for economy, look someplace else. If you want a nice reliable 26 year old RV, you have found it.
Assets:
- Tilt, cruise, PS, PB and "whoopee" an am/fm cassette radio.
- Roof air replaced last year including heat strip.
- Hydraulic leveling jacks. Retracting springs replaced 18 months ago. Don't know why, but sometime you have to help them kick down.
- Tag Axle provides a smooth ride. Stainless Steel wheel simulators
- Electric steps,
- Central Vacuum. I've never used it. I hire people to clean up after me.
- 3 way refrigerator that works great on AC, Gas or 12 volt DC. It automatically selects which source to use.
- Microwave, Under counter Coffee Pot, 4 burner cooktop with oven,Six Gallon DSI water heater, 30,000 BTU ducted furnace with thermostat. 3 powered roof vents.
- Driver seat, passenger seat, jack knife sofa, 2 chairs and dinette set were recovered and re-cushioned 24 months ago.
- Carpet, kitchen and bath flooring replaced 18 months ago.
- Black tank replaced 24 months ago.
- Three tires with less than 2,000 miles and five tires in good shape.
- Manual satellite dish with digital elevation indicator. TV antenna replaced 18 months ago, but unfortunately does not rotate because the idiot that resealed the roof 12 months ago, sealed the rotating device, along with the roof.
- No indications of ever having a roof leak.
- 5,000 KW Kohler generator
- The old fat man could not get to the storage box on the roof and had it placed on a rack at the rear of the RV so it could be used as storage.
- Replaced two house batteries 8 months ago.
Negatives:
- This is a 26 year old RV with 112,600 miles on it. Gas mileage sucks, fuel gauges are inaccurate, you have to add a little oil every now and then, even to the generator.
- The systems level indicator is for display only. You can check the battery charge, start water pump and turn on water heater from the display
- I never replaced any window shades in the living area (they show 26 years of use) or the mattresses on the queen size bed above the driver and passenger seats.
- The RV has been smoked in.
- Decals, stripes and exterior paint show 26 years of wear. Pictures are much better than the exterior looks.
- I have replacement running lights for the rear of the RV
- Dash air does not work. There’s a tear in one of the condenser hoses. While I drive along the highway, I run the generator and roof air.
- Cameras at the rear of the RV are wireless and used with an X10 system. I’ve used the receiver for another project. In other words, without an X10 receiver they don’t work.
- We’re rapidly approaching High Definition television. I have removed the 19” analog TV which will go the way of the dinosaur next year. If you want it, I’ll put it back in.
- Dent at the top rear of RV was done in Texas where I had the springs replaced on the Hydraulic levelers. They denied any responsibility. Don,t know how the molding at left rear bumper got damaged. Dents at the top edge and at the front of the coach body are thanks to Katrina. Cedar tree split and fell on it.
- Over the years pins have been lost from the awning and I have replaced them with make shift pins. Accomplishes the goal of holding the awning in place.
- I am sure there are more negatives, and probably more positives. I will gladly answer any questions anyone has.
Overall:
- I have lived in this RV for three years. I have driven it from my base of operations in Jones County Mississippi, to Mission Texas, to Virginia, to Lake Wister Oklahoma, Beaver Lake Arkansas, and all points in between. I bought this RV on Ebay several years ago, flew to Las Vegas, picked it up and drove it 1,600 miles back to Jones County, Mississippi with no problems. This RV has my full trust. It has never failed to carry me and my toad where I wanted to go. I did spend a couple of days getting the water pump and all hoses and belts replaced. But I plugged into their AC and stayed in my "home" while the repairs were being done.
- While I may have all the confidence to jump into this RV and drive it to Seattle it is being sold with no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied.
It was too small for a full timer. I bought a larger Class A RV.
I have tried to be as honest and straight forward as I can be. If you have any questions, or want more pictures, please contact me.
If you are the high bidder and come here to get the RV and I have provided information that is not true, or if you change your mind about the deal, I'll give you your deposit back. If you hire someone to inspect it, which I strongly suggest, and they give their okay, you are the proud owner.
I’m also listing a brake buddy on ebay.
