Vehicle Identification
The car is a non-metallic cream body colour with non-metalic black fenders/runningboards 1988 Jaguar Replica Roadster of a Jaguar SS 100 Duke Roadster, built by Classic Roadsters in North Dakota, serial number 1RMCB6119EF000120. The Odometer reading is showing 003,878 miles. The odometer reading is reported to be a true indication of the car's total driven miles since being built by Classic Roadsters in 1988. The Vehicle was imported from the United States.
Vehicle Condition and Equipment
The car is in generally very good to excellent overall condition. The body is finished in a non-metalic cream cloour with black fenders and side runningboard panels. The paint is in generally very good to excellent condition, however, was found to be somewhat oxidized on the fener panels and a few light paint scratches were noted.
The car has a 1-piece moulded fibreglass body with hinged fibreglass doors and front hood, along with bolt-on fenders and side runningboard panels.
Both front fender panels are welled for fitting of the side mount spare tires, which mount to the matching chrome plated wire spoked rims, complete with hardware components. Damage free indicator lights and chrome plated mirror assemblies are mounted to the top of the fender panles. One of the mirror broke off, but the main attachement is still in tacked. New owner would need to purchase a new mirror, or figure out a way to attach the old one.
The hinged fibreglass doors open and close well. They are fitted with exterior snaps along their sides for fitting of side curtains, which are available with the car and are reportedly in good condition.
The exhaust exits the right at the rear of the body. The exhaust extensions do show some aging. The chorome is somewhat tarnished on the front and rear bumper and bumper gaurd assemblies and was also found to be somewhat tarnished on the rear luggage rack. It is believed that the chrome will clean up considerably. The left rear backup light body lens is missing, but the housing is still in tack. The car's feul tank monts at the rear underside of the car.
The Vacuum metalized front grille assembly is damage free. An authentic Jaguar ornament is fitted. The front head lights, exterior chrome plates horns and amber lensed fog light assemblies are all in good condition, damage free and in good shape.
The underside body fibreglass floor pans are in good condition. The car is fitted with what is believed to be a General Motors full steel frame, which is solid.
All four road tires are Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewalls, size P195/75R/15. The radial tires show only minimal treadwear by visual inspection. The road tires and side mount spare tires mount to chrome plated wire-spoked rims which are in good condition and gamage free. One of the tires is missing an ornament, but the owner has the ornament for the purchaser of the car to either fix, or find a replacement.
The seats are upholstered in a black vinyl. The vinyl upholstery is in very good damage free condition on both bucket style seats. The black inyl interior trim panles are damage free. Black floor carpets are in very good condition. The wood dash is fitted with VDO gauges. The vehicle has recenlty been fitted with an aftermarket custom sterio system which has been professionally installed with a value of approximately $1500. The system includes a Clarion Model DXZ635MP in dash AM/FM/CD player, along with clarion speakers. The front speakers have been installed into custom fabricated kick panels. The back speakers as well have been custom installed.
The car is powered by what is believed to be a 4-cylinder Chevrolet engine, along with a General Motors 3-speed automatic transmission operating from a floor mounted shifter. The mechanical components, including the drivetrain are believe to have new when the car was built. The car features power breaks. The front breaks are disc style. The rear breaks are drum brakes. This low milage car is reported to start and drive in good condition.
Shipping of the car is the purchasers responsibility, and it is suggested if travelling a long way to it's destination that the car be trailered to it location to avoid any over heating problems. It is also recommended that the new owner preform a full tune up on the car before taking on long trip.
NOTE: Car also comes with an official appraisal from Antique & Classic Auto Appraisal Services. This appraisal was done in November of 2003 and since then , there hase been only 400 miles put on the car.
