This beautifully built RV-4 was crafted in 1994 by a Machinist who built the
plane exactly as Vans had specified.  When I purchased the plane in February
of this year it only had 56 hours on the hobbs.  The plane had not been
flown since 99', however, the engine had been run every month. I changed the oil and
tires, gave her a complete annual and then flew it to florida.   Once in
Florida we added a brand new leather interior, new spark plugs,  rear seat
controls, including rudder pedals, brand new brakes and changed the oil
again.   Oil analysis came back perfect.   The engine was and still is
certified.  It is an 0-320 D2J with all compressions in the upper 70's.  Top
speed was clocked at 202 mph and cruises at 175 mph.   The Sterba prop was
newly painted and balanced.  The plane has a Vettermans cross-over exhaust
and purrs like a kitten. The plane is a 9 on the
exterior and a 9 on the interior.  This aircraft only has 116.53 hours on
the hobbs.   The plane is located at X-04  which is the Orlando /Apopka
airport and can be viewed by appointment during the bidding process.
