This has been my primary car for two years. It's in good condition considering its age, the straight six engine runs very smooth. I have never had to do any work to this other than full service oil changes which have been done every three months since I've owned it. The engine was rebuilt by Toyota specialists about 40,000 miles ago.
Here is a list of its problems:
The tailgate has two small dents on the top, it doesn't affect it opening, closing, or sealing.
There is a small exhaust leak, it's not enough to be a problem in Utah's safety or emissions inspections.
The paint is faded, it has a few small dents around in places on the body. These are all very minor and cosmetic only.
The front seat covers aren't in great shape, that's why the seat covers are on it.
The carpet is torn in the rear cargo area.
The radio doesn't work.
The engine loses a little oil at the rear seal.
Here's a list of what's good:
The air conditioning blows cold.
The mechanics (engine, transmission, clutch, transfer case, all drive train) are all in good shape, everything runs smooth.
The frame is straight, the car runs and tracks straight.
The glass is all clear and good.
There is no serious rust anywhere.
The rear seat folds completely flat which increases storage greatly.
This is really a great car, I am selling it because I am a teacher on the coast of the Bering Sea in Alaska and don't need a car up there.
There is a $500 deposit due within 48 hours of the end of the auction via Paypal and the balance is due within 7 days of the end of the auction. I will be leaving 7 days after the auction so it needs to be picked up by then unless prior arrangements are made with me beforehand. I wouldn't hesitate at all to drive this Toyota across the country from here. If you want it shipped I'll be glad to deliver it to a shipper in the Salt Lake City area.
