Item Description
This is a great old vehicle. I bought it in May and planned to work on it over summer break (I am a teacher in Alaska) but ran out of time. My wife has decided that the best thing to do would be to sell it. The engine is the 392 V8. It runs very strong and smooth, it does have a small oil leak. I just bought this last May and drove it from Sacramento, CA out to Utah and had only one problem. The guy I bought it from hadn't driven it much and the carb got kind of gummed up. I had it rebuilt in Nevada and had no other problems the rest of the trip. I would have no, repeat NO problem with driving this thing to anywhere in the U.S. from here (though there is no A.C. so I'd drive at night.) There has been a lot of work recently done in addition to the carb rebuild. A shop in Sacrament (I'll be glad to tell you which one if you want to know) rebuilt the wheel cylinders and installed a new master brake cylinder, installed new wheel bearings in the front, new tie rod ends, new ball joints, and did a front end alignment. I put brand new tires on it, they now have about 800 miles on them. The headliner is missing in one section, there is a fishing pole rack inside and I suspect the previous owner caught his pole a few times. There are rifle racks in both rear windows. The roof rack is a monster, it's remarkably stout (not to mention huge.) I require a $500 deposit via Paypal within 48 hours of the end of the auction with the balance due within a week. I am leaving to go back up to Alaska one week from the end of the auction so it must be picked up by then unless you make other arrangements with me.
