1967 CESSNA O-2A COMBAT AIRCRAFT –
Detailed Description:
This aircraft has been restored to better than new. If you want the best 02-A WARBIRD, (YOU WILL NOT FIND ANOTHER O-2A FOR SALE IN THE COUNTRY THAT LOOKS LIKE THIS AND NEEDS NOTHING DONE EXCEPT GO FLY IT!) with the all the creature comforts of a new aircraft, then this aircraft is for you. Not to mention the proven safety of a multi-engine military combat aircraft with centerline thrust.
This aircraft has a fresh Annual (March 08 - spent over $10,000 worth of work making it perfect), New custom paint Dec 2007, a 4 place new interior, special soundproofing, all new or overhauled instruments and radios (VHF, UHF, FM, GPS, HSI, etc) (ALL OPERATIONAL), new wiring, fresh X-Ray Spar inspection, new glass, overhauled fuel tanks, Argus 7000 CE Moving Map, Ryan TCAD, GPS certified for IFR to include GPS Approaches, fresh prop overhaul, plenty of engine time until the next overhaul, new paint, and all new hoses just to name a few (but see detailed list below).
The aircraft is PEFRECT and I can’t say enough about it. It has flown every few weeks after the restoration, always hangared. If you are serious, please arrange a call or visit us so we can brag about all the other hundreds of things that were done to this aircraft to include armament system, pylons, and rocket pods, plus it is STANDARD CATERGORY!!!! This is the last of the latest true US Military Combat War Birds with plenty of availability of parts; all you have to do is show up and collect your air show awards as this aircraft needs nothing and has plenty of time remaining so you don't have to worry or budget about future maintenance. The aircraft has always been in a hangar since completion and has not spent one night outside! Every time this aircraft lands at an airport it attracts a crowd, I just can't say enough about it.
Don’t be fooled by other O-2s (if you can even find any for sale) or pretend O2s (337s with military paint) that are for sale that need engine overhaul, are experimental category or require a complete refurbishment with avionics that look real but don’t work. This aircraft had thousands of man hours put into it and the detail shown in the pictures doesn’t even come close to how cherry it is when you see in person. The ramp presence alone is amazing, not to mention when it flys overhead.
EVERYTHING works on this aircraft to include UHF radio, FM Radio, and Heads-up Weapons Display / Gun Site; to name a few. Not to mention it flys like a dream, it is stable and smooth, 150 knots all day long and 18 gallons per hour with 128 gallon capacity, with all the safety of two engines IFR certified and proven combat engineering (Again, this is NOT a standard Cessna 337, nor does it fly like one, it is better, period). The pylons and pods can be removed easily as shown in the various pictures with them on and off.
