YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 2002 DUCATI MONSTER 620IE. WELL MAINTAINED AND ADULT RIDDEN. BIKE HAS NEVER BEEN DOWN OR RACED. I PURCHASED THE BIKE 3 YEARS AGO WITH APPROX. 300 MILES ON THE ODO. THE FIRST TWO YEARS I USED AS MY COMMUTER BIKE AND PUT ABOUT 6K EACH YEAR. THIS PAST YEAR I HAVE SWITCHED JOBS AND DON'T RIDE IT MUCH ANYMORE SO IT DOES ALOT OF SITTING LATELY.
THE FOLLOWING MODS AND UPGRADES HAVE BEEN PERFORMED.
DUCATI PERFORMANCE HIGH MOUNT CARBON FIBRE EXHAUST WITH OPEN AIR BOX AND E.C.U.(BIKE SOUND AWSOME).
CUSTOM TAIL CHOP.
CARBON FIBER SHORTY REAR HUGGER.
CARBON FIBRE SIDE PANELS.
SARGENT CUSTOM SEAT WITH YELLOW PIPING(SUPER COMFORTABLE).
UPGRADED TEAR DROP REAR VIEW MIRRORS FROM A NEWER MODEL YEAR MONSTER.
CUSTOM REVERSE SHIFT(STANDARD SHIFT COMPONENTS INCLUDED IN AUCTION).
GOLD BILLET DRIVERS FOOT PEGS( FACTORY PEGS INCLUDED IN AUCTION).
BIKE RUNS GREAT AND STARTS EFFORTLESSLY.
ALL PAINT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS BIKE WAS RIDDEN. THAT BEING SAID , IT IS NOT IN MINT CONDITION. THE TACH BEZEL HAS A TINY CRACK THAT WOULD NOT PHOTOGRAPH AND THE BEZEL HAS SOME DISCOLORATION. VARIOUS SCREW HEADS HAVE SOME SURFACE RUST(BUT YOU HAVE TO BE LOOKING FOR IT).
TIRES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE, BUT THE REAR TIRE WILL LIKELY NEED REPLACEMENT IN 3K TO 5K.
I TRY TO KEEP MY BIKE CLEAN BUT SPOTLESS IT IS NOT. THE ENGINE CASE HAS SOME DIRT THAT WILL LIKELY COME OFF WITH SOME EFFORT AND A TOOTHBRUSH.
IF YOU WONDER WHY I MENTION THIS, I DON'T BLAME YOU, BUT I WANT TO BE AS HONEST AS POSSIBLE.
THE THING I LOVED ABOUT THIS BIKE WAS THE FACT THAT THERE IS NO CHROME AND IT ALMOST HAS MORE CHARACTER WITH IT'S SMALL IMPERFECTIONS AND SOMEWHAT DITY APPEARANCE.
THIS BIKE IS SO MUCH FUN TO RIDE THAT I CAN'T PUT IT INTO WORDS.
GREAT FOR A NOVICE AND FUN AS HELL FOR THE EXPERIENCED RIDER WHO WANTS TO JUST TEAR IT UP AROUND TOWN WITHOUT THERE BACK GIVING OUT.

On Jun-30-08 at 16:58:44 PDT, seller added the following information:people have been inquiring about having bike inspected before finalizing deal. i have no qualms about such inspections, but i require that a non-refundable deposit be paid first. if for any reason a winning bidder decides to bail, than i am not only left with listing fee, but i may have lost a sale to another bidder.
as i stated in previous description, i have not ridden the bike much as of late, but i do ride it(it's too much fun not to). i have never had any problems.
On Jul-04-08 at 08:23:07 PDT, seller added the following information:i been getting question about the size of this bike, and i figured i'd just post my thoughts about it. this is not a large bike, but by no means is it small. i guessing that it weighs somewhere between 350 and 375 pounds, thanks largely to the carbon fiber upgrades. i did forget to mention that it has an adjustable height bar for the rear, i do not know if this is a standard feature but i guess it's worth mentioning. the range of adjustment is pretty good. i have cranked it down low enough to see if my 5 foot girlfriend would fit on it(and she did) and i've had it so high that i could not get my feet on the ground(just to see how high it would go).
i'm 5' 6". bike is perfect for me.
just some food for thought ,being that this is a 620, the insurance is way cheap, even with full coverage. excellent gas mileage . and since it's a twin you get all the torque right away, unlike the 4 cylinder 600cc jap bikes that you have to rev up to 11 grand before it gets fun. | |
