1967 Austin Mini Moke. Used in the Bahamas as a resort car and brought into the states in 1971. Lived a few years in Florida and spent its golden years in Northern California. The car has been in the same family for almost 40 years and was used as a basic transportation vehicle on their large property.
Hopefully from the photos you can see that this is a very original example with virtually no rust or rot like most Mokes have. Original engine/ trans, original canvas top frame, original seats (sorry, no back seats). Besides the little shunt in the right front corner (see pics) and the resort's white Earl Scheib paint job (no offense, they have their place in the food chain) this is a completely unmolested car. I believe that the original color is garden variety British racing green. Runs and drives excellent. Lots of power, shifts well. As you can see, even the wire harness is original and needs only re-sheathing. Speedo needs rebuilding- you're going 65mph all the time.
This is the kind of car that makes restorations fun. It is so original that there are very few parts that need replacing- take it apart, straighten, refinish, detail and reassemble (Hyperbole I know, but you get the drift). You could also drive as is.
Great opportunity to purchase an original barn find Mini Moke. It will only be a matter of time before unrestored cars like these get snatched up and the only cars that will be available will be stinky turds that have to be re-restored.
Good luck. Please email questions.
