Snobird Gyrocopter For Sale With Trailer. Rotax 582, liquid cooled, less than 15 hours Total time on engine and new 3-blade Ivoprop. Redesigned nose-wheel, now tracks (in trail) with stability. Electric prerotator, new Sportcopter metal blades and hub (24 feet). New blades, prerotator not shown in most of these photos. Has brakes. Standard instrument pack. It is in perfect running and flying condition. Most fun-flying I have ever done. Can use some cosmetic clean up. It is what you see in the photographs here but with the new blades, hub, and electric motor prerotator mounted up on the head. See more pictures at:

On May-11-08 at 18:21:42 PDT, seller added the following information:I have been getting a lot of email questions about the engine starter: This gyro has a Rotax 582 with an Electric Engine starter (E-box)!!!! You just flip a switch and the Ivo-prop cranks over by an electric engine starter built into the engine gear reduction drive mechanism. This has nothing to do with the electric prerotator on the main rotor system. That is a separate electric starter motor by itself. I have spent a lot of money on this machine to make it the best there is. I am in it well over $12,000. I just don't fly it enough and it needs someone to take it , run it and and have fun with it.
On May-12-08 at 19:08:37 PDT, seller added the following information:This machine is sold as PARTS only. Although it is assembled now, it will be sold disassembled for the new owner to reassemble it. This is for FAA and liability reasons. It is NOT being sold as a certified, or licensed aircraft...or even as an aircraft for that matter. It is being sold as a separate engine, frame, wheels, instruments, propeller, rotorblades, etc., all separate. Buyer will have to sign a form to this effect. Although it has been flown as an ultralight, the laws have changed and the new owner will need to familiarize himself with the new FAA requirements if he wants it certified. Although it is not a USA certified aircraft, it is capable of flying in it's current configuration as it has been advertised. However, it must be sold as parts only, not an airworthy flying machine. The new owner may do as they wish with these PARTS. The seller did not design, engineer or test-fly this aircraft for certification or to proclaim it is a flying machine of any type and warrents nothing of the type. IF you buy these PARTS, you are on your own as to how you might use them. You may even make a radio control model aircraft out of them (RC gyrocopter). Given that, anyone may retract their bids at this time with no hard feelings. This is for legal reasons only and does not diminish the quality or condition of these parts. As far as the seller is concerned, these "Parts" are all in good to excellent condition. | |
