This Cobra replica was built by one Daryl Holliday in Huntsville, Texas. He builds his own frames from 3"X 4" X 1/8" steel with "X" bracing between the rails. I have been told by a couple of mechanics/builders that the frame is as good as you'll find.
Holliday also claims that he fabricates his own fiberglass bodies, but I can't confirm that.
It has a Jaguar XJS rear suspension with inboard disc brakes.
The front suspension is aftermarket upper and lower tubular A-arms with coil over shocks.
Steering is aftermarket rack and pinion.
Wheels are Trigo knock-offs, front 7 1/2" X 15", rear 9 1/2" X 15".
Tires are Goodyear Eagle GTII's.
Transmission is a Tremec 5 speed, rear axle 3.87.
Front brakes are Wilwood 11" discs.
The engine was built by Dennis Knowles in Conroe, TX. Dennis builds engines for the Houston round track and drag race crowd and has an excellent reputation. Basically, the engine is a 351 Windsor bored .040 over, with TRW pistons, Eagle connecting rods, Competition cam, (284 int - 296 ext), Edelbrock Victor Jr. heads, Edelbrock manifold, MSD ignition, and a Holley 750 carb. Complete engine specs are available.
Gauges are AutoMeter original Cobra replicas.
Moto Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel.
Headers & sidepipes are ceramic coated.
14 gallon aluminum fuel tank with LeMans style gas cap.
Black leather seats, Simpson 4 point racing harness.
Chrome roll bar.
Everything else is aftermarket Cobra replica parts. There are no used or Mustang parts.
This car has always been garaged, has never been raced or suffered any damage.
