This auction is for my Aprilia SL1000 for which I am the original owner. I purchased it (new) in the fall of 2000 from an Aprilia dealer in Connecticut. Aprilia uses a 60 degree twin 988cc engine and it produces roughly 130 hp. The engines are made by Rotax, and are tough and reliable. This bike is in excellent condition and rides perfectly. Recent oil and filters change. I have only made a few minor modifications to the bike. Those are factory air intake restriction removal, program change, carbon fiber exhaust cans, installation of a rear light integrator, H9 headlight bulbs, and a custom fender eliminator. These bikes are a great ride with loads of power everywhere. Easily handles passengers and is equally at home on the track for driving events as it is on the road.
I hate to sell this bike as its perfect but I need to buy a backhoe to finish another project so one of my toys must go. This bike is ready to ride… The only thing it needs is a new owner who has the time to enjoy it.
This bike has never let me down - runs and rides as good as it looks.
I have always taken very good care of this bike along with never abusing it.

The engine has tons of grunt and a wonderful sound - almost like a Ducati and the transmission is smooth like butta...
This engine produces in excess of over 135 hp - close to 115 to 118 to the rear wheel.
This engine is produced by Rotax over in Austria - it's called the V990.
Its a 60 Deg. longitudinal V-type, two cylinder, 4-stroke with 4-valves per cylinder.
997.30 cm / 60.88 cu in. bore / stroke 3.82 / 2.66 11.4 compression ratio
Liquid cooled, two plugs per cylinder, Dry sump oil system.
Vacuum assisted slipper clutch.
Fuel tank capacity is 5 us gallons.
I use premium fuel only.
I removed the rear turn signal stalks and added a brake light turn signal integrator unit so the two brake lights act as turn / brake - very clean setup.
I use Pit-Bull work stands that were purchased specifically for this bike. I have the spooled style rear stand, front fork-lift style stand, along with the converter stand.
The converter stand attaches to the fork style stand and has a sized tube that slides into the lower section of the steering tube.
The brakes are factory Brembo units and perform very well < one or two finger braking - your choice.
