Dodson Motors Inc. has for sale a very nice 65 passenger 1989 Chevrolet school bus. This has the rare tinted windows, storage compartments, and interior luggage racks. Not long out of service, so it is in fine mechanical shape and ready to roll.
This has the strong, economical 8.2 turbo diesel, rated at 225 horsepower. I have had these engines in a pair of tandem grain trucks on the farm for nearly 20 years and they are very dependable. I also get over 10 mpg all day long running hard; pulling up to 50,000 pounds. This should easily do 12 or bettter cruising down the road. It is geared up for cruising. Running 75 mph plus down the interstate was no problem.
The engine starts and runs as it should. The 5 speed transmission and the clutch work great. The air brakes sit it down easy and the air system also works the door. It is a pleasure to drive as anything showing wear got replaced as part of scheduled school bus maintenance.
We will part out at shop rate. It will be cheap enough to buy it for the drivetrain.
The 9.00 x 20 tires across the rear are matching and at least 75% tread. The fronts are at least 50% and all tires are premium radials.
Seats have been repaired as necessary, so none are ripped up. Glass is good. This is a very solid unit and ready for all sorts of uses.
All gauges and lights work. There is also a working tachometer. Heater works great. Odometer is 5 digit unit, so we have no clue as to exact miles. It is over 10 years old, so it sells mileage exempt. It is a very tight outfit. Drive this anywhere.
Bus dealers ask $6,000 plus for a unit like this. This is a no surprise unit. We only know what we have when it is here, every unit we sell is as-is no warranty. It's a Nebraska dealer deal. We have to tell you that. Bid with confidence. Read our 100% feedback.
This came from west of us, so winner will get a clear Colorado title transferred to them, and 30 day Nebraska temporary permits.
Bid to own. Bid early, bid often, and remember this is the only race where the last one wins. All bids are a binding contract and treated as such. If you recieve a second chance offer, it didn't come from us. Someone is trying to get your user name and password so they can play. Be sure to add me to your favorites list! and check out my other items! We are hoping to get at least 50 more items selling in the next 90 days.
Denver Int. Airport is 175 miles southwest of us. If passenger pickup is desired there with delivery to our dealership; it is $200. Closest bus service is Ogallala, Ne and we make that pickup for $50.
WE DON'T DO ANY GOOFY DEALER ADDITIONAL TAXES OR CHARGES. WHAT YOU BID IS WHAT YOU PAY.
Winner will pay $1,000 down within 3 days of sale end, preferably by Paypal. Remainder is within 7 days of end of auction. This will be by cash, personal check, or cashiers check. If Paypal is used for the remainder, the Paypal charges on that amount is the responsiblity of the buyer. Call us, we have worked many ways with many buyers and we are a 100% feedback seller. No items or title leave our location until any form of check clears our bank.

WATER COOLER INFO: Right now farmers are recieving $7.85a bushel for the wheat a few have left. There are 60 pounds in a bushel of wheat. That means at todays price, the producer is getting less than 12cents for the wheat in that loaf of bread.
