International Transtar II Eagle cabover with sleeper, 1978, 290 Cummins, 9-speed overdrive, single axle, air ride, 2250 hours, good mechanical condition, 80% 2 year old tires all around, 24.5 Alcoa fronts, steel rears. 5th wheel included with truck but gooseneck hitch is removed. Was originally a road tractor and does have tractor protector valve and plumbing for trailer. Truck was converted to box truck and spend most of it's life that way. I shortened frame, added air ride, and used it to pull a gooseneck trailer. Engine in good condition, drivetrain in good condition, new exhaust from turbo out, cab in good condition except for dent in back of sleeper and damage to drip rail (see picture) from a tire failure. AC has slow leak and is still R-12. Charge is low and does not cool. Would cool if topped off, I don't have R-12 to charge it. Needs compressor seal, flushing, and charging with R134a. Driver's seat is air ride. Both seats, headliner, plastic trim, and dash pad in excellent condition. "Fake" woodgrain on instrument cluster showing its age. All gauges work except for axle temp, has a pyrometer. Have new carpet for doghouse and sleeper that matches seats and door panels. Normal wear on the inside but in good condition for age of truck. Driver's windshield has crack. No warranty, as is, but you should be able to tag, insure, and hit the road to most anywhere. Pictures available of most anything you would like to see. Truck is old but has been well taken care of and is in very good mechanical condition. Was making regular 3000 mile round trips prior to retirement to play duty. Truck is being replaced with a 4 door medium duty to make room for more than 2 people. Email or call 850-499-4332 with any questions or for more information.
