This classic 1978 AMF-Alcort Puffer is a 12.5 foot, open cockpit, sloop rigged boat with genoa and mainsail.  Ideal for the small lakes found in NC and surrounding States.  It is a good beginner's boat - to teach yourself or youngsters to sail.  Sail solo or with two people, very stable, positive floatation.

Varnished daggerboard and rudder/tiller are easily removable.  90 square feet of sails with sail bag.  Used very little over its lifetime – sails, mast, boom, rudder and daggerboard always stored inside; boat always covered. 

The AMF-Alcort Puffer is a good boat for beginners and responsible kids. It is a versatile design that, without the rig can be used for fishing or just gunkholing. Can be carried by two people and launched off the shore when the ramp is too busy.  Has a mount for a two-HP outboard or trolling motor for small fishing expeditions. Two adults are about max for the boat - three is a crowd. The rigging for the boat is simple and efficient. Comes with galvanized Long trailer, with new tires; so light that one person can pull it around by hand and it can be towed by the smallest compact vehicle.
