This car runs and drives well and needs very little work to restore to a very good looking driver. I bought this car about 4 months ago with the intentions of restoring it and using it as a daily driver. The guy I bought it from said it ran perfect and could be driven anywhere. Luckily I took the tow dolly just in case! When I bought the car it did run, however the water pump shaft was severely degraded and it leaked water from the shaft. None of the lights worked. The wipers didn't work. and the car would stall when you gave it gas! I really despise people that lie in their descriptions! I have since installed a new water pump. I replaced the wiper motor with a used one I had. I replaced all the lights that did not work. I replaced the brake light switch. I changed the oil. I installed 4 brand new shocks and I have adjusted the timing and air fuel mixture. The car runs and drives and I have driven it around town on short trips. This car has some rust issues that I never addressed as seen in the pictures. Someone has done some body work on this car in the past and re-painted it a darker green. The tires have about 85% tread life on them. The interior is in very good condition for a car this old and would need only minor attention. The hood will probably need to be replaced because someone used bondo to repair rust around the hinges and it is coming apart in this area. This car has AC however I have not tried to use it. The compressor spins very easily but the clutch does not engage. The gas and temp gauges are currently not working, (i think it may be a fuse issue but have not investigated it. The passenger side rear door sometimes sticks and the drivers side front door is missing the inside handle. The power steering pump may need addressed as well because it is sometimes a little hesitant when turning. The floor pans and rockers are solid, however the trunk pan is rusted and someone has covered it with sheet metal. This car also has after market dual exhaust that sounds great! Overall this would be a great car to restore or just do some minor repairs and intermediate body work. I simply do not have the time to invest in this car and I have several other cars I need to finish. Even though this car seems to run well, I would not recommend driving the car any long distances until you go through it yourself I have described this car as honestly and accurately as I can so bid with confidence and ask questions!
