There is no better time to buy an RV then right now!

I have been in the RV business for 20 years and you can mark my words - you will never get a better deal on an RV then you will right now!

Why do I say that? Here's why: We are buying our inventory right now at record low prices in relation to the NADA wholesale guide. In the last 20 years we have not been able to purchase our inventory for the prices we are paying today. Why are the prices so good right now? Three reasons. 1)The economy is in the dumps. 2)Gas prices are $4.00 per gallon. 3)The upcoming election. Because of these factors most of the large dealers are not selling many units. We are currently buying inventory from these dealers that have to liquidate to raise cash. When this situation occurrs we are able to set the prices lower than normal. The majority of our customers are either retired or are in their mid to late 40's. Our retired customers have planned their retirements properly and have the extra money to spend RV'ing. And our mid to late 40's customers generally have 2 incomes and are not part of the crowd that may have been affected by the economy slowing down. Now, the $4.00 a gallon gas is not going away. What will happen is everybody will adjust to it in 6 months or so. We all know the ecomomy will get better - IT ALWAYS DOES! By the way doesn't this always happen leading up to the election? So if you have the money and were thinking about buying an RV - now is the time! After the election the economy will start to bounce back. Consumers will have come to accept the $4.00 a gallon gas and they will start buying RV's again, which will drive the prices back up to where they were 6 months ago. So for you, the smart buyer, it is like buying a convertible in the winter - you pay a lot less than you do in the spring. And because we don't have the large overhead of a traditional RV dealership and we don't have any sales people to pay commissions to, we can sell for thousands less than most other dealers. This is not rocket science, just watch our auctions and compare the final sales prices to the NADA and Kelley Blue Book values. They are always thousands below both NADA and Kelley Blue Book retail values. I will go a step further and say that if you do not want to bid on a coach and you just want to buy it, just give Bobby a call and work out a price and we will end the auction early.

Now lets talk about gas prices.

We have found that many first time RV buyers are hesitant to buy an RV because the price of gas is $4.00 a gallon. There have been many studies done on this subject and the end result of these studies is that gas would have to reach $9.00 per gallon before the seasoned RV'er would give it up. Here's why: The average RV is driven 4000 miles per year according to national statistics. At 8 miles per gallon you would use 500 gallons of fuel. At $4.00 per gallon your annual fuel cost would be $2000. I have a family of 4. This year we will take two, 1 week long trips to San Diego for a total of 1400 miles, two weekend trips to Rocky Point Mexico for a total of 1000 miles, two weekend trips to Flagstaff Arizona for a total of 500 miles, two weekend trips to the White Mountains for a total of 1000 miles, and several overnight and weekend trips within an hour of Phoenix for a total of 800 miles. That's a total of 4700 miles with a total fuel cost of $2350. If we were to fly to San Diego it would cost $250 round trip per person, so our 2 trips would cost $2000 for airfare, $850 for a rental car, $1500-$2000 for a motel room, plus all of our meals would be out at restaurants. So the two weeks in San Diego would cost about $5000. The other trips that we take don't have the option of flying being that they are in the remote mountain areas or Mexico. So we would have to drive the SUV which gets about 18 mpg. We would use 183 gallons of gas to drive the SUV to these places versus 412 gallons in the motor home. However there are no hotels in the remote areas and there are no restaurants. I am sure you are starting to see my point. If you like to have flexibility, and you enjoy being in the outdoors there is no better way to spend time with your family then doing it in an RV.

You are bidding on a 1992 Thor Pinnacle motor home. Here is another one of those “Oldie but Goodie” coaches, keep in mind that there are some blemishes but overall it is in good condition for the age. On the exterior the stripes are cracked and faded, otherwise there is no other major body damage and it has all matching Dunlop tires with at least 50% tread remaining. The interior appears to have been well cared for as it shows. The upholstery does not show any major blemishes and the carpet shows some minor wear and there are a couple of stains. This coach is equipped with a single ducted roof A/C unit, an 18’ awning w/ encasement, Onan 4KW generator and hydraulic leveling system. The Nada retail value is $15,132 and the Kelley blue book value $17,015. As always we will be listing it without a reserve price therefore it will sell to the highest bidder at the end of the auction. Motorhomes for around $10,000 sure are hard to come by - and this one is pretty nice - take a close look if your budget is around $10,000!
