Time Left: 0 Seconds |  | | For More Details: Click here | | heres a project id like to finish but i have too many others to do. 1955 cadillac 62 hardtop. needs to be restored or finish the details and just drive. the engine was said to be rebuilt last year, but not too sure how true. runs very well, no noise or smoke nice and smooth, idles well goes threw the rpm range well. the carb has been rebuilt,new plugs,wires,cap,rotor,points,condensor,coil. the radiator was redone at some point but i have replaced the upper and lower hoses, both belts, thermostat and gasket. the gas tank has been redone also at some point. it will need the fuel line from the tank to the pump, and a new filler neck fabricated. i have driven this car around the block a few time and down the street from my work to a friends shop, running it off a gas can. this winter i have replaced the master cyl, all the steel brake lines with pre bent ones from kanter, the shoes, wheel cyl. hardware and had the drums cut. they need a final adjustment .the lower controll arms have been blasted and painted, with new lower bushings installed. also has new swaybar links. i have the rest of the frontend kit new in the box to go with the car. also has new shocks up front. car needs exhaust, and a alignement. car has been lowered 4 inches in front by cutting the coils, and the rear was also lowered 4 inches with blocks. next for the body.... ive has the whole out side of the car sandblasted by a very good company. from what i can tell they did not warp any panels on the car. its now in epoxy prime. the door handles have been shaved and tailights have been changed also. it has late 80's caddy lights frenched in it. the hood is going to need some work at the ends but is very fixable. also the right fender will need some repair also. the lower fenders have been patched..looks to be done nicely. the doors are clean on the outside but need to go to the blasters for the insides,same for the doorjambs. the roof is straight,the trunk lid is straight also. the trunk jamb was blasted and cleaned up well. the qtrs arnt bad, they have been patchesd in a few places but looked ok. the only major patch needed is the left qtr lower and inner.the rockers are ok just have a few pin holes on the outter skins. the tailpan has been repaied not to sure of how well theres some filler in that, and we left it alone. the floors are dencent but need work. the trunk floor needes the spare tire well and the back near the tailpan, but the rest is nice. the main floors of the car need 2 front pans, the rears are getting soft. however the inner rockers are nice, all the floor braces are nice just covered with a light layer of surface rust. the windsheil and rear glass are nice, needes vent window glass. but it flat so shoud be found easy. the chrome needs to be redone completly. also needs tires. car has a good dash pad and a nice headliner. doorpanels are shot and so are the seat covers. this is a project and has no warentee written or implyed. car is for sale locally so seller reserves the right to end auction early. any questions please call john at 203-394-7734 | |
