Up for auction tonight is an ORIGINAL FORD MOTOR COMPANY POSTER USED THROUGHOUT FORD DEALERSHIPS IN THE 40'S - 50'S.....
This poster is not some silly paper poster as they are heavy cardboard and are about the thickness of a cereal box.....Each is printed on the bottom " FOR SERVICE ENTRANCE DISPLAY " and is then marked " FORD MOTOR COMPANY " ......DB - 45 which stands for DEARBORN, MICHIGAN 1945.....
The poster measures 12 1/4" Long X 9" Wide and feature a picture of HENRY FORD and goes on to talk about FORD'S SERVICE POLICY....saying NOT SOMETHING FOR NOTHING....but doing what is to be done PROMPTLY, INTELLIGENTLY, and ECONOMICALLY.....THERE'S A FORD IN YOUR FUTURE !..
This would look great in any automotive setting and ORIGINAL ITEMS like these are getting harder and harder to find....... I was just lucky enough to pick these up at the auction held at the closed down FORD PLANT IN LOS ANGELES, but when these are gone, their will be no more as I bought them out.....
A few of these posters had water damage, but I only sell the best, and all that I let go are in great shape with no folds or bends ( the only drawback may be a little yellowing of the cardboard from age)...... This will be shipped flat between cardboard sheets and the winning bidder will pay shipping of $5.85 within the lower 48 states, with shipping overseas to be determined after the auction....
