This 1971 Scout 800A is in very nice condition - hard to find one this nice up here in the North. The 152 4 cylinder engine was rebuilt a few thousand miles ago and it runs great, however I've been having a little ignition trouble with it lately and just haven't had time to look into it too far. I think it just needs a set of points and a condenser. The coil is new and the carburetor has been rebuilt. The brakes have all been gone through and it stops surprisingly well for having drum brakes all the way around. The 3 speed transmission shifts great, the clutch was new at the engine rebuild, and the 4 wheel drive Hi and Lo both work as well. Both seats are brand new and the paint is new as well and looks great. Tires are very good as well. This was a Tennessee truck from the beginning up until recently when I purchased it. I've driven it around in the grassy field by my shop and it's a real blast to drive! I haven't put any Ohio plates on it yet, so it still has the Tennessee tag on it and no, I haven't driven it on the road (wink wink), but I do know it drives nice at 60 mph on blacktop. This little truck is a real head turner and I hate to get rid of it, but my wife and I have twins on the way so it has to go.
