Up for Auction is my baby... Ducati 749 DARK Bi-Posto. It's practically new with only 2856 miles on it (Though there may be a few more if the weather is nice! ) I hate to sell it but I need to move soon. This bike has had the EXPENSIVE valve service and won't be due for another until 6000 miles. The oil has always been changed AHEAD of time with MOTUL full synthetic. Additionally, I clean the bike after EVERY ride: Body and chain I even polish the exhaust under the seat YES I'M Obsessive. - There is not a single paint chip or bug splatter, the gauges look brand new with no fading or scratches it's as if I just took of the plastic film that protects items when first shipped- NEVER EVER ABUSED OR BEAT ON. To say this bike has been garaged kept is an understatement, it was actually kept in my house. Yes, heated all year round and kept on a center stand.
Make no mistake, 2006 is THE BEST year for the 749 dark- It has and upgraded swingarm (identical to the 999) and the upgraded motor 108HP- THIS BIKE IS BETTER THAN ANY 2003, 2004 or 2005 749- Additionally, I've added the following:
- Geniune Ducati Steering dampener
- Geniune DucatI Stainless steel vented clutch cover
- Geniune Ducati PERFORMANCE clutch- in anodized red finish
- 2nd set of Pirellis Diablo Super Corsa Track tires -1 day of use. ( $350 +)
Condition: Just so you know, this bike was tipped and scratched (clutch side)- NO mechanical damage AT ALL not even a scratch- the Swing arm is PERFECT, Gas TANK and TAIL ARE PERFECT! All the the impact was on the mirror and bar end WHICH HAS BEEN REPLACED. The lower right fairing and wing are the ONLY remaining pieces that show any damage. THERE ARE LIGHT SCRATCHES NOTHING MORE. MOST PEOPLE DON"T EVEN NOTICE. FROM 10ft away the bike looks flawless- up close you can see the lower is scratched and the wing- THIS NEVER BOTHERED ME ENOUGH TO REPLACE IT. IF THIS BOTHERS YOU, UPSETS YOU OR SCARES YOU IN ANYWAY....DON'T BID!!!!!! The Bike looks showroom new otherwise, the plexiglass windsheild doesn't even have a scratch or a bug splat- NO PAINT CHIPS ANYWHERE not even the seat or handlebars show anywhere. It doesn't even look like it was ridden.
I have the title in my hands and it has been paid for in full- This bike needs only a rider.
